Long before MPO in France gained a less than stellar reputation in the post-2013 vinyl renaissance, it was the darling of indie label pressing, especially in the UK. The plant's output was consistently good pressings in the 1980s and 1990s (since... See full review

Does this feature the 1978 7" single version of "Heart of Stone" or the version with heavy reverb from the No Regrets 1981 album? The original single version has that distinct late '70s punk-y, early new wave sound ala Nick Gilder City Nights, Tom... See full review

Iinm, Robert Ludwig mastered this fantastic sounding CD, while someone else cut the lacquer. An RL lacquer cut would undoubtedly have borne his '70s signature sound - warmth, slight darkness, ground-swelling bass. Rhino's Run Out Groove sub-label... See full review

"Search and Destroy" on the first LP, the so-called David Bowie mix, is not actually Bowie's mix. The mix of SAD on LP1 is The Stooges' mix from 1973, the only track on the U.S. vinyl release of Raw Power that features Iggy and The Stooges' original... See full review

I am gleaning here praise for the original 1992 vinyl issues of Bone. But, still, they all had to have been compromised by the sheer over-cramming of tracks onto one LP, no? I'm slightly skeptical of the praise, although I would nevertheless jump at... See full review
