Carrolton plant and 1981 pressing? This must be from Columbia’s 1981 budget priced reissue series w/round, orange & black hype sticker “The Nice Price”. Generally these reissues are highly recommended.

Just nabbed this from a batch re-stocked at Plaid Room Records, Ohio. So-called “damaged” inventory, but the jacket-corner imperfection is negligible, barely noticeable.

Is the “etched face with pointy ears” in the dead wax mastering engineer George Peckham’s signature? Seems unlikely, as he mastered in Great Britain, and this entry is for a U.S. reissue. Rather, is this matrix signature for engineer Frank DeLuna?

Btw, I just noticed this exact 2-LP edition was repressed on white vinyl in 2019. Plenty of copies listed, but sellers are mostly in EU and UK, so the total cost would be no less than the cost of buying this earlier pressing (if you’re in the US). ...
