Why wasn't everything like Gates Of The Afterlife? Most of the album is just basic loops that didn't even age that well.

This was reissued in 2013 on cd. b1 and b5 are cool.

Probably inspired by Level 42 - Why Are You Leaving, similar melody, sound and feeling.

Being "modern" doesn't automatically mean being better. This style was extremely repetitive and uninspired, especially this record.

is that cardi b in the vocals of "That Track (Rewired Mix)"?
|
![]() |
Introspective is the one too :-)

This track has been vastly overrated over the years, this is nothing but what kraftwerk were doing since 1977, with cheesy bad vocals on top.
Coming from detroit doesn't make it more authentic nor special. |

a2 and b2 are the only decent tracks imo, your standard must be very low if you consider this compilation full of killers...

Can we get is very similar to DJ Sneak – Keep On Groovin'
|

A2 samples Boards of Canada - The Devil is in the Details
|

What's so special about this record? There are millions of productions like this today with way more development and variety, Various - OFFFM #1 for example.
|

For "come down" they probably took inspiration from Motorfunk - Champagne. .
|

electronic orbit for cosmic breakbeat hi-fi boards of canada

cydonia it's ok, most of the album is really uninspired and melodically is very weak.

This label killed the entire lo-fi house scene, basically. Hope they're happy.
|

It's even better than back in the days! :-) .
|

Not a lot going on, but those pads ahhhhhhhh .
|

Such long comment and not even one (1) example of a release from "back in the day" that sounds like this one. Nice job mate lmao.

Prie Atminimų Upės is in some parts very similar to Cliche - Sexy Girl

Chingo recycles the pad of "3", so lame. . .

This sounds absolutely nothing like "Future Sound of London, some Jam & Spoon, or Orbital"

Cocoon is extremely similar to Opiate - Insert from Opiate / Dub Tractor - Opiate / Dub Tractor Split. I'm literally shook.

Both sides sample THP Orchestra – Two Hot For Love (1977)
|

This so rare you can't even find it on soulseek?

Monkey Star is the only track with vocals. . .
|

A side is very similar to MBG - The Quiet (1991)
|
![]() |
I'd like to know the original tracks too, help! . .
|
![]() |
B side was needed (original track is too slow) but the lo-fi aesthetic gets boring after a while, i'd have preferred a simple re-edit with a stronger (not distorted) beat and faster tempo.

Is "Devon Russell Move On Up" a cover? The melody at the start is very familiar to me.
