Sounds fantastic. Just came In today. Gave it a quick we clean before first play. Much better than the clear records warp put out in the 90’s.

I remember when this album came out. Bought it on CD immediately. I also remember seeing the record displayed at Tower Records. I had given up on vinyl at that point. And the cassette? Forget it.
Top 5 album for me. Aftter all these years, a buddy... See full review

I had the poster hanging on my bedroom wall in ‘95. Thankfully I didn’t kill it with tape, just enough to get it to stay. It’s thick, heavy and huge. That’s what she said.

Well said. If you hear my copy of 36 chambers original from 93…it’s BEAT. But all that wear just fits right. Some folks wouldn’t let their stylus touch the wax even.

Sounds fantastic. Really clean, after an initial cleaning to get all the factory crap and paper bits off. Perfect drug is one of my all time favorite NIN tracks.

I’m ignorant to the VMP releases. What master did they use for this pressing? Someone bought this for me, and although I think it sounds pretty good, I feel like it’s missing something at the top. Impressive package though, I dig it.

I’m convinced that everyone complaining about sibilance are
1) New to the album
2) New to records
3) Green to turntables and setup

It’s a 30 year old hip hop album. That’s how it’s been sounding for allllll these years. It’s not a steely Dan record.... See full review

Bought this based on all the glowing reviews. It’s definitely louder than the original pressing. Otherwise, I’m underwhelmed. It’s better than most new release as far as the quality of the record itself. It’s glossy, flat, and didn’t come pre-scuffed.... See full review

Phenomenal pressing. My original can take a break. If you like the track, buy this while it’s readily available.

Powerful album by the masters of the style. Listen from front to back. Takes me to another place. As much as I love vinyl, this really needs continuous play from a disc or digital. But at the end of the day, consume however you can get it.

These were available through Warp when they first opened bleep many years ago, i wanna say 2006 or so. I have it on vinyl, but back then, if you wanted the mp3 you had to rip it directly to your pc and all the mp3's floating around sounded like shit.... See full review

Best way to listen to this legendary album, is the original 1994 CD. The remastered disc and recent vinyl are shit. Just louder.

Can’t make a record sounds great when you’re squeezing almost an hour onto a single disc. So everyone complaining about quiet and no bass, here you go.

2LP for this album is mandatory.

This absolutely destroys the original pressing. POWERFUL sound. Full and dynamic. This is exactly what this legendary album deserved. It’s worth every penny.

I’ve got 2 copies of this, neither of them have the matrix in the listing “WAP LP”. Nor do I see any mention of WAP LP on the record or jacket.

On mine, the runout says:

Sound quality of this album in general is not great. CD and Vinyl releases both sound compressed. No dynamics. They really need to do a remaster 2LP vinyl release. The album deserves it. Almost 50 minutes on 1 LP is not cutting it.

Watch out for sellers that don’t know what they have. Make sure you ask them for what’s etched into the runout BEFORE you buy. Even still, there’s a seller selling a bootleg right now that’s in the authentic release listing.

I don’t have anything else to compare this to, mine was pressed fine. Low noise, not warped. But the sound is just too bright for my taste. My system is more on the laid back sound, and this was pretty fatiguing.

Don’t want to be a Debbie downer here, but this record is noisey as hell. Wet cleaned it in a RCM twice. Constant background noise all the way through. Maybe just my copy, but I doubt it. Will probably be less apparent it you use a conical stylus.... See full review

Be careful when buying this first pressing. Most sellers don’t actually investigate if they have the 1994 or 2001 pressing. It’s got to have the TRAINSPOTTER run out etching. Ask them to check first before you buy!
