The Third Man is the name given to the feeling of a presence one gets when by himself, usually in moments of distress or danger. This term was coined by T.S. Elliot in his famous poem "The Wasteland":

Haunting music from Mordant's most well kept secret - expect deep and oppressive ambiance, slow tempos and lyrics coming from tortured souls..

Taken from one of the picture innersleeves:
"If you sail north from Jamaica, within a few hundred miles or so - just next door in oceanic terms - you hit Cuba. Yet in many ways they're quite different, especially musically. In the 1960s, Mala's father... See full review

One of the best compilations of Detroit tracks, in a very beautiful packaging! Many many tracks deserve a close listen and these are not obvious choices but rather very well hand-picked gems.

Van Der Graaf Generator

Very very influential band to the punk movement, which it predated for at least a decade, thanks to its nihillistic lyrics and their sometimes avant-garde and dissonant jamming, not to menyion the high esteem it was regarded by Johnny Lydon of the Sex... See full review

My first Kraftwerk record, bought in 1979. Back then this innovative album sounded so futuristic and alien it seemed from another world altogether. And indeed it was, from the world of the-future-to-come. From this album on Kraftwerk got shamelessly... See full review

This release is comprised of three very different tracks. O1 is as deep as one can get, with just a slo-mo bassline and beats and little else while on the flip side the other two tracks are more full of detail, my favorite being OO2 with its groovy rhythm. See full review

Circulation took tech and minimal house to a whole new level with this series. Very well crafted tracks and excellent DJ tool.

No big deal, too much hype for a piece of plastic... The track, however, might be worth a listen... just get a decent mp3 rip if you're still curious, end of story.

One of my first records. This electropop tour-de-force sounded very odd at the days, maybe pressaging what was about to be, because it is easier to understand this non-stop groove today than when it came out... History was being made back then and... See full review

Well, what can I say? This is an awesome album by any standards, for me it is still Richie's best work so far, very deep and sexy as fuck, very influential imho. Be prepared for pure machine love in a very deep and dark mood..
Little Computer People - Electro Pop

A german guy digging electro hasn't been news in a long time now, to the point where that is a commonplace and a sterotype, so if you just came across this album take notice: this album has nothing to do with the electroclash hype of the early 2000's.... See full review

In opposition to the review below, imho this release falls nothing short of a great album and a trendsetting work. Although of course Mathias Schaffhåuser did not invent minimal techno, this album paved the way, at the closing of the nineties era, for... See full review

Although side A has become a classic, it is side B that hooked me up forever to this release, with its abyssal depth in both tracks b1 and b2, this last track as a matter of fact is a great piece of music art, with its fine use of field recordings of... See full review

This is Soultek at its finest! First track of side A contains some serious minimal on dub upbeat groove, with micro samples of static and noise crafted to maximum rhythmic effect and afterwards a claustrophobic slo-mo dub almost industrial-like, while... See full review

These guys, just as the beatles, changed the face of pop music during the sixties and seventies, introducing psychedelic, classical and avant-garde music to a huge audience, pop was never the same after them, and for the better!

This is how classical and psychedelic pop met in the seventies... Pure musical bliss full of blues influenced melodies and delirious choirs, with full orchestral effect. This has been a blast for the last 32 years, what else can I say?
