Just a guess? Ian Sefchick. He did a lot of the other recent AC titles and works on a lot of Rhino stuff. Rhino uses all of the major pressing plants, so as to which company pressed it is much more of a crapshoot.

Would be nice to know the tracklist for the vinyl release coming out. Does it have the same tracks as Deluxe and Target versions? Or are we going to have to purchase a cd or get downloads to get those songs?

I just bought it and haven't played mine, but opened it. Beautiful. Made with care. Mastered at Sterling. Looks like Pallas pressed the vinyl. Just from that alone I expect it to be of good quality. Glad to hear the music/mix sounds good.

My copy is pretty quiet. The run out on side two was a little noisy but within acceptable limits. I was surprised to find GZ did this, I usually end up with noisy records pressed there. No warping. Flat as a pancake. Came with a poly lined sleeve and the ... See full review

Thank you for the review. I saw this in the store today but i was hesitant about picking it up until I looked into it. What is the deadwax info? QRP press this?

Cleaned both records. Applied some Groove Glide. Played both a few times. I couldn't stand it. So noisy I had to send back to Amazon. No fill starting out side 4 during Revolution1, which first play I thought was dirt! So much noise, pops no fill. What i ... See full review

My copy is about the same. Spun both records once. Slight warps. The main complaint is vinyl noise. I did not wash them yet, however, but I will and then play them again. Still won't get rid of the other digital 'zits' sounds though (not pops, not ... See full review

GZ Vinyl pressed these. My copies were ordered in the US and are black vinyl. They were dusty and needed cleaning a few times. They still were noisy with pops and no-fill. Both inner sleeves were ripped through inside from the heavy weight of records. ... See full review

Thank you so much for your review. I liked what little I have heard of this album and am interested in the vinyl. Great that they used Pallas to press these.

Noisy vinyl even after 3 cleans! Mastered by RTI. The music itself sounds good.

Noisy vinyl filled with clicks and pops. Dirty. Needs a cleaning before playing. I have the exclusive Domino cover, which is the same deadwax info.

GZ Vinyl can be hit or miss. They aren't as bad as Rainbo or United on average, but their bad output is as bad as those two.

Doug Sax was the original mastering engineer for the US copies of the LP. This new reissue was done by Miles Showell. The back cover was not updated.

Have one rainbow labels with Wally in run-out. Sounds pretty decent, but it's obvious it's not a low/early sourced tape. Surface Noise is lower than earlier Capitol pressings. Comes with all the stickers and poster.

Generally these old Warner 'Silver Face' CDs used the old LP mixdown masters, so whatever EQ and compression was used on those would be what was on the CD.

The Iggy Pop reissues of Lust for Life and The Idiot aren't terrible but don't top originals, which are expensive. The Four Men With Beards versions sound a little distant but besides that are not as bad as a lot if their other stuff.

Capitol was absolutely using the retro black rainbow labels in 1983. Beatles Rarities album was the first in 1980. Press to Play single(s) by McCartney and Lennon's Menlove Ave album both have them and they were later 80s, 86/87.

This was pressed at United, known for their pressing issues. Search YouTube for 'Tales Of The Deadwax - United', to see what I mean. It is United who has the issues. Fugitive is just the company with the rights to the music currently in the US.

Why is this considered rare or valuable? 1986 still saw lots of vinyl production in the United States. The RCA club edition will have, most likely, inferior sound.
