What is your number one tip for sellers?
Grade Conservatively. Customers love opening up their packages and finding out that the record is in better shape than you listed!

What is your number two tip for sellers?
Use better vinyl packaging.
For instance: LAX oversized with corrugated cardboard and corners protected

I started in the seventies with buying records and cutouts especially, and haven't stopped since! At that time I liked cutouts a lot, because they were new and sealed (untouched, like a virgin...), although unfortunately for me not priced $1.99 or $3.99 over here in Amsterdam! I had to pay slightly more in guldens (Dutch guilders)....

The US pressing is inferior. Try to find the UK Radar and be surprised at what they did at Columbia Records. Seriously...

Early 70's reissue, pre-Fantasy distribution era, way pre-OJC era. This early Contemporary reissue sounds amazing. Roy DuNann was the best in the business. Stereo recording from 1959.

Normally one would not expect great sound from a Greatest Hits album, but in this case I just love the sound of this Dutch pressing made from US lacquers: XSM117713-1A / XSM117714-1A

It is not only United Record Pressing that is to blame, Labels/artists should request test pressings too and actually test it. For instance Rainbo has an equally bad reputation but how come then that some labels get better quality-even from them?

Rhino/Scorpio enough said. Lots of people don't care though about sound quality etcetera and they just want coloured vinyl.

Stunning flawless pressing. I previously owned only the standalone 1974 Brothers/Reprise mono version 'the way Brian cut it', but both versions have their merits. You wil hear details that are buried in the mono mix. Mark Linett did a great job in ... See full review

It all depends on the mastering. Apart from the superior vinyl used you might find that in most cases the Japanese turned up the treble and turned down the bass. If you have the original mastering on superb silent vinyl then you have a winner.

The MOV LP from 2011 also has the insert with the small fold-in replicated. The seventies Dutch CBS with sunburst label never had an insert (I bought it new back then). For most people this will likely remain a great album they never heard. They miss out ... See full review

Great pressing, but very poor recording done at Sweet's home in 2002. Especially the rockers sound like MP3's at 192kb.... Compressed, muddy. Your mileage may vary though.

S U B L I M E a perfect record. If you're serious about your powerpop collection you should own this. I waited, like a lot of people buying this on CD in the nineties I suspect, for ages for this gem to be released on vinyl.

It is not 'bloated in the bass' at all. This is a great release in BN 80th series. Splendid Kevin Gray mastering and Optimal Germany really did a great job! The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the quality of the sleeve reproduction.

Ruben, you are clueless....cutouts are remainders, overstock, or sometimes radio-promos (cut corner or round hole in top of sleeve). In Dutch: Je tekst slaat echt nergens op hoor. Als jij je onzin verwijdert verwijder ik ook mijn antwoord.
