What is your number one tip for sellers?
Grade conservatively. Customers love opening up their packages and finding out that the record is in better shape than you listed!

What is your number two tip for sellers?
Use better vinyl packaging.
For instance: LAX oversized with corrugated cardboard and corners protected

I started in the seventies with buying records and cutouts especially, and haven't stopped since! At that time I liked cutouts a lot, because they were new and sealed (untouched, like a virgin...), although unfortunately for me not priced $1.99 or $3.99 over here in Amsterdam! I had to pay slightly more in guldens (Dutch guilders)....

Tracklist as above seems to be totally mixed up regarding the original order. Any background informations?

The submitter is a seller and obviously clueless. He copied it from the back sleeve.

This was confirmed by Joe Harley (the one and only Tone Poet) on the Steve Hoffman forum: "It's there and it's most likely a tape issue ....likely that something had to be flown in for those few minutes. It happens with these old tapes."

Worth it alone for the Liner Notes by Graham Parker. His description of Jack Nitzsche's behaviour is priceless!

So, who says audiophiles are lazy huh?
They have to get up from their comfy chairs to change sides approximately every 8-9 minutes!!!
Mofi keeps them fit.

As much as I admire Chad Kassem and his battle against audiophile obesitas (approximately 9 minutes per side means you have to get up all the time from your lazy chair in the sweet spot) I would love a 33 rpm version from AP.

It is not a downright bad reissue but as is the case for most Friday Music vinyl releases: not worth the extra money. If you can find a original US pressing in good clean condition you are set. And why the gatefold and ugly modification of the... See full review

B: my guess is you bought it secondhand, could have been played on a Crosley 'groovecruncher'

Early 70's reissue, pre-Fantasy distribution era, way pre-OJC era. This early Contemporary reissue sounds amazing. Roy DuNann was the best in the business. Stereo recording from 1959.

It is not only United Record Pressing that is to blame, Labels/artists should request test pressings too and actually test it. For instance Rainbo has an equally bad reputation but how come then that some labels get better quality-even from them?

Stunning flawless pressing. I previously owned only the standalone 1974 Brothers/Reprise mono version 'the way Brian cut it', but both versions have their merits. You wil hear details that are buried in the mono mix. Mark Linett did a great job in 1996. See full review
