Awful pressing quality on this copy, cleaning made no improvement. Noisy as heck.

Fantastic album, under-the-radar and under appreciated...and this limited blue pressing sounds pretty awful, unfortunately pretty standard for jagjaguwar of late...noisy as hell. It's a real bummer because the album itself is mastered really well with ... See full review

Thanks for the review ! With some careful dexterity it's pretty easy to enlarge the spindle hole with a properly sized drill, round file, or x-acto knife...

Right!? Come on Tame Impala, get it together! ...why does Pond sound so much better on vinyl !?

As with the last 2 Impala albums, pretty crummy sound quality...plenty of extra noise pressed into the vinyl, and lacking dynamics (with the slight exception of the original Innerspeaker 45rpm). Listening to Pond's vinyl releases puts into perspective ... See full review

Amazing album, really crappy sound quality on this one...even a couple of tiny pressing defects/loud distortion and noise throughout...
This red Swedish pressing from Subliminal Sounds sounds incredible ... See full review

For you hard core Dungen fans, this pressing sounds far better than the US Mexican Summer black vinyl pressing--I mean worlds apart. While colored vinyl usually doesn't impress, the dynamics, separation, clarity and even the lack of noise are really ... See full review

Sound on this pressing is fantastic. And comparing to the MFSL 1-033 version, I sure can't hear a $60 difference in quality (at least on my decent setup). Separation is probably a shade better, but clarity, dynamics and overall soundstage is great for ... See full review

I'm not sure if it's the quirkiness of Eric Johnson's lyrics, or maybe "pop folk" is just too quirky itself nowadays, but this band seems to have slipped back out of whatever sideshow spotlight they might have all too briefly occupied. They're kind of a ... See full review

I got a similarly crappy copy...1371/4000. Constant surface noise and very audible "dimples" throughout...Great to have it on vinyl finally, too bad the CD sounds much better! :(

Great album, crummy pressing...well my copy at least. Quite a lot of surface noise throughout, and very audible "dimples" on both sides.
An album with meticulous production and a great deal of quiet/spare passages deserves a nice clean pressing...it's a ... See full review

Great album, great sound! In a a wasteland of lifeless new recordings, it's more than refreshing to hear these young lads shine through on a well-recorded, well-mixed, well-mastered, well-pressed slab of quality vinyl!

Fantastic album, finally repressed, and it sounds very good!
Although I haven't listened to an original first pressing copy of this album for direct comparison, I can say this repress has wonderfully quiet backgrounds and a nice big soundstage...A very ... See full review

This is such a fantastic album, it's disappointing to see a lot of new music like this being subjected to sub-par mastering and/or crummy pressings. Don't get me wrong, the production is awesome: broad soundstage with a lot of depth and great use of the ... See full review

How is it that people are already justifying selling this EP for up to $100 USD, when there were five THOUSAND (!!!) copies pressed, versus
Innerspeaker first pressing, of which there were ONLY five HUNDRED pressed? And there are many, many copies of ... See full review

Any idea if this is the same pressing as the "Back to Black" version released around the same time? The Back To Black release clearly advertises that it is a remaster (and reportedly sounds amazing), and I'm wondering if this is the same thing, just ... See full review
