Note On Payments
I will only ship to addresses that match addresses on Paypal accounts or are otherwise covered by Paypal Seller protection. If you place an order that does not meet these criteria I will refund all but the $0.30 that Paypal will charge me for these transactions so please make sure you follow these simple rules.
Grading
As a collector foremost I'm extremely aware of how subjective and varying record grading can be. Because of this I think it's very important to clearly outline how I grade my records so that there is a clear understanding with my customers prior to ordering. All of my grading is done conservatively according to the Discogs/Goldmine Guidelines. I will only use M as a condition on vinyl (not the jacket) for sealed records. I also make use of the VG++ or EX grade. I find this is important as there is a pretty large range between a M- record and a VG+ one. If a record or jacket is VG++/EX then you will see this mentioned in the notes and the grade assigned in Discogs will be VG+ (even though that record might be very close to M-. In addition sometimes I will use strong/weak designators on grades to indicate a record that is close to a higher or lower grade. All records are visually graded directly under the right brightness of light (either too little or too much you miss defects) but they may be play tested as well (to check certain vinyl defects for potential issues). If a record is play tested and the grade is affected by the play test this will be indicated in the notes. All MAJOR jacket (e.g. cut corners, drill holes, sawmarks, writing, seam splits, etc...) defects will be indicated in the notes. MINOR jacket defects (e.g. corner bumps, wrinkles, etc...) may or may not be mentioned in the notes explicitly but the grade will be impacted accordingly. When grading I may use any one of several common abbreviations to describe items concisely. If an abbreviation is alien to you please send me a message and I will explain in detail. If you ever want me to play test a record then just shoot me a message and I will do so ASAP. As can be expected I sometimes miss something when grading. If this is the case please contact me before leaving negative feedback so we can discuss an amicable resolution.
Matrix Pressings
I do my best to list against the proper matrix pressing. However many of my listings were created prior to these listings existing in Discogs and might be out-of-date. It is the buyers responsibility to ask prior to sale if an exact matrix pressing is desired.
How Items Are Shipped
All LP's are shipped VERY SECURELY WITH ADEQUATE PADDING in cardboard boxes specifically designed for LP's. Sometimes this box will be a box that I reuse from a shipment I received in order to minimize waste. If you order just CD's your order might be shipped in an envelope with adequate bubble wrap for protection. All LP's will be shipped outside of the jacket. In addition all LP's will be shipped in a poly outer sleeve that you can use to protect your purchase. If you don't want the outer sleeve let me know so we can reduce waste. I try and ship items twice a week but please be patient as I have a full-time job that keeps me very busy! If you have an urgent request please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate
Refunds/Returns
If there is a problem with your order please contact me prior to leaving negative feedback. Our #1 goal is to have happy return customers so we will work with you, to the best of our ability, to ensure that this is the case. That being said refunds are subject to the following restrictions:
1. A full refund including shipping costs will be provided if the WRONG item is shipped. It is the buyer's responsibility to package the incorrect item and ship it securely in the same packaging it was sent. Refund will be processed when the returned item is received
2. A full refund will be provided due to differing grading opinions. It's the buyer's responsibility to package the item and ship it securely in the same packaging it was sent. Refund will be processed when the returned items is received. Return shipping costs will be refunded in cases where I made a mistake in grading. Return shipping costs WILL NOT be refunded for jackets or vinyl graded VG or worse. Grading of these far less than perfect items is way too subjective. If you have concerns about an item in this condition please ask for pictures or play grades prior to payment
3. The buyer is responsible for paying the cost of shipping for all returns (except the cases noted above)
4. Buyer is responsible for packaging the item(s) securely in the same packaging they were sent in and paying for return postage
5. Seller reserves the right to include insurance or registered mail costs in the shipping price for any order (typically large or high priced orders)
6. No refunds / returns will be accepted more than 14 days after the buyer receives the item
