Get ready for massive disappointment with vinyl, the VAST majority of vinyl releases from major labels do NOT have a separate master for vinyl, they're using the same crappy over-compressed digital mastering found on the CD and 24/xx releases. ... See full review

It may well be that Bernie created a mastered analogue cutting copy and CB cut the 45, because the original 33rpm version from ORG has BG in the deadwax. I'm sure one of them or their assistants would clarify if asked, they're usually pretty helpful.

Yes, Mr Ludwig himself has confirmed the US 1992 release was cut directly from the original 1/2" analogue tapes.

All other original 1992 versions were cut from DAT masters that Bob created.

I think the valid complaint many have is this was digitally remastered and we have a 16/44.1 version of the 24/96 cutting files - it has almost all the dynamics of the original 1994 master and should sound better overall, but the intention originally was ... See full review

Little bit loud but 3~4dB more dynamic range than the CD version. The vinyl was cut from the DSD files mastered by Ed Brooks. So you can get the source files for the vinyl cut for about $25.
