I do rather agree, as someone that adores their first two albums it's obvious they changed direction and had no idea where to go here. Real shame. The energy is gone, they tried to distance from their older sound.

So here's me discovering this today. Listening to this banging techno. Thinking, wow, CF is back in the game. The OG Bangin' techno don is back at it giving us classic power techno vibes. But these are all old - albeit very good - tracks. I'm glad... See full review

"clubby dance romp" = all melodies are cheesy and dumb and don't belong in techno.
Yeah, this is why there is so much dull, tedious, repetitious, uninventive, monochromatic minimal techno. It's a lot easier to make than something truly melodic,... See full review

This track epitomises everything that was positive about the original house / rave / hardcore movement. It never will be repeated. It never CAN be repeated. I'm going there: this is the perfect tempo, the perfect vibe, the perfect piano solo, the... See full review

I believe this is the peak of Ken Ishii's albums. This is non-stop full on melodic DeJapian Techno bliss. So full of ideas, great production, great rhythms, so much energy, it just keeps going from start to finish. Anyone into techno, wanting to... See full review

No Industrial workouts here. Collage, some clanky IDM, some EBM style vocals and more and more collage. Interesting, but no techno.
Come on guys, new album please. Release Supersonic Live in FLAC.

DJ mix / live performance of BMB material that we already know and some new stuff. It is not as cohesive as Supersonic Live which is far, far stronger as listening experience, but does contain some more new material.

Yes of course this gets lower reviews on Progarchives. Because this is the "more accessible album". Eider Stellaire very much formed their own sound on this album, moving away from the now somewhat predictable cosmic darkness De Futura-loving... See full review

Definitely one of the better releases on this label, though my other comment still stands: there's not a lot going on here. Still, big space vibes, surprisingly fast tempos (bonus points for this!), bags of atmosphere and bleepy melodies. Yeah, this... See full review

I'm finding a lot of these Acting Press releases just a tad overrated. All have a similar atmospheric vibe, sometimes tech, sometimes IDMish, ambient etc. It's good stuff. But very little builds into something very memorable. This EP is the same. I... See full review

Here's an album that's destined to fly under the radar, yet it shouldn't. Gravity Darkening alternates between hard space-techno workouts - by which I mean they are propulsive but have an "out there" vibe, bleepy, reverberant and melodic hooks - and... See full review

Basically a continuation of the kind of mental acid antics Mr Ceephax used to do but has curiously strayed from with his last few releases. Hyper melodic, multi part, unpredictable bouncy acid techno madness. Love every second of this, strongly recommended. See full review
