Tremendously underrated album from a time when "anything goes" in techno. Electric Allsorts jumps between trancy acid (Evolutionary Changes), dark techno, deep melodic techno (Ghost In The Machine is friggen' glorious), "bleep" (Squirt Transmission), ... See full review

Definitely not Surgeon's best album. I really just don't enjoy Breaking The Frame, if it is supposed to be something more akin to a "listening" experience the problem is at least half the material comes across overly repetitious and formless. The Power ... See full review

A compelling and surprisingly melodic trip through techno steamrollers, thumping electro-downtempo pieces, IDM-laced excursions and a dash of ambience. Between this and Luminosity Device, maybe 2018 is finally the year where techno decides it is finally ... See full review

After two ponderous albums, Surgeon returns with his best long player since the 90s. Yes, really. This is a fantastic balance between "listening techno", his usual pounding, pulsating workouts, and... trancey melodies!? This is also some of his most ... See full review

Sights. Jeez. What a tune. This is another hugely melodic, creative electro-braindance-IDM-allthewonderfulthings album from Fah. I do wish I'd discovered this artist sooner. He creates music in very similar realms to that of Ceephax and EOD but very much ... See full review

Criminally underknown/appreciated CPU Records album. Melodic electro / techno / IDM / acid / braindance bliss.

While it's a shame they moved away from the steamroller techno vibe they had going just a few years prior this is a great EP of propulsive textural techno. It's unfortunate these guys don't make music like this any more, their newer material seems too ... See full review

Relentless machine-industry techno steamrollers. Exium at their rhythmic, pulsative 00s peak. Highly recommended.

Utterly astonishing, balls-to-the-f**king-wall industrial techno bombs. If you like BMB or Reeko of a similar era, try this immediately. The intro to Curse X2 is perfect, an ominous lead into three devastating tracks that really deserve a digital ... See full review

The better question here is: should discogs break up their albums designation into "studio", "live", "other" etc? Because otherwise I don't think there is a more suitable place to put all of KC's live albums.

Vince's second album is a totally successful merging of deep house vibes and a techno aesthetic. It has the soul and vibe of the former mixed with the propulsive arrangements and aura of the latter. I'd say that with Emotion Sequence he would top this ... See full review

My copy of this grew "spots" and became unplayable, suggesting poor pressing from BOD. Shame, it's a good album from the house legend.

It should go without saying that Steven's label is a staple of absolutely top notch quality melodic electronic music. In the sphere of techno / ambient / idm / bleep and just everything surrounding that "ethos". Always incredible art, too. Guaranteed ... See full review

Arguably the last great piece of techno Beltram produced, before diving headlong into the same kind of clean minimal stuff that has become so popular and poisoned techno in Europe. This though is a driving belter with a classic squelchy, dirty bass riff ... See full review

Can't agree with the negative reviews here. I picked this comp up all the way back in 1995. Introduced me to so many now-legendary dance producers. Every mix has something to offer, the spacey balearism of World (Perfecto Mix) or the relentless acid ... See full review

The first HIA album starts strong, bridging the "gap" between bleep techno and ambience. Soft pads and hooks intertwine with blips, bleeps, qwirky percussion, electro flavourings and distinct proto-IDM-tinged atmospheres. The same goes for Freefloater. ... See full review

TFIV has almost 50 tracks comprising its soundtrack. It'd take a lot of vinyl to get all that on there. And if they didn't include every track... it'd fail as a soundtrack release as _every single track_ is essential.
