thats actually kind of offensive to Todd and also offensive to the original producers of the track, Blair Nicholas & Somerled MacKichan; i get that you are trying to be funny but you really arent taking into account how the producers of this track must feel reading your comment on, what was an important release + event in their lives; please try to have a little more respect for peoples creative work, without their work there would be no Derrick Carter mix; use your brain, kid; everytime i see this kind of offensive trashy brittish humor it makes me less proud of my english heritage

this is the kind of jungle music that i miss the ones that gave u good feelings + goosebumps all over - state of bliss; jungle was like this in 1994 but sometime into 1995 it began to change to a more agressive ragga style and lost the golden glow; i dont particularly remember this exact tune but it makes me think of 1994 regardless just in the style of composition + sounds that remind me of similar cuts played by the likes of jumpin jack frost

its funny to see the videos on youtube obviously recorded by people finding the record years later because noooobody would play this "can you feel it" track this SLOW it was almost always pitched up to a way more exciting tempo; alot of people who post records on youtube post them at the most unflattering tempos; the records sounded ten times better mixed by good djs put into a set with some enthusiasm + oomph and a quick tempo that made your heart pump just a bit faster to catch up! and made your feet move

"Have a blast!" classic 1995 pierre wild pitch anthem right here; dont really hear this played much but heard it tons in 1995! house was more aggressive + hard in 95 tbh ever since things went focused on deep + loungey stuff from 97 onwards; but 95 was tough and slammin hard in your face rough + raw

T.P.M.* - Boogaloo chrisnova777

April 4, 2020
Boogaloo (David Alvarado And Lord Sadat's Mix) is the one + only mix on this record that i used to hear people play; this track is underrated + underplayed + instant vibes when played at the right time can start the party off something serious

i kinda prefer the crash culture mix on this 12" - i know some of the DiY djs were making appearances in Toronto since 93 or so; Diggs + Woosh had been to Toronto in 95 i'm pretty sure they could have been the connection that made this 12" happen but i'm just speculating
chrisnova777

95 North Featuring Sabrynaah Pope - Hold On (Remixes) chrisnova777

April 3, 2020
forgotten golden Anthem i had this on one of my earliest tapes i got in 1994 the message in this song really was something that meant alot to me, the early 90s were kinda dark + different than the 80s and the message in this song was hammered in my head from listening to my garage mixtapes over + over and its remained there ever since :)
chrisnova777

DJ Pit chrisnova777

April 3, 2020
everytime i see DJ PIT it brings back really good memories of coming back from the record store + thoroughly enjoying his records; alot of them are sample based but i really like + appreciate the way he took certain parts + emphasized certain soft mellow funky vibes + stretched and looped them out thats what samplijng is all about man; taking that amazing small tiny part of the record and expanding on it and thats exactly what DJ PIT! is all about!

i'd have to agree with that observation; its in the same key; probably mix the two together like butter; and the fact that its released in 1980; the next year after "Good Times" was released in 1979 makes complete sense; it makes sense that they made this song to complement + achieve similar financial success

i had this cassette tape given to me in 1996 by someone who got it from the dj Magazine issue; this tape was very well circulated + very well received + appreciated; 1996 was a golden year for house music the music had an explosion of quality that i've tried to rationalize in retrospect; to me it appears to be a direct result to the success + industry acceptance + standardization of pro tools III recording systems in recording studios as well as the introduction of PCI "PowerPC" Macintosh computers

this record always reminds me of an old tape of david crooke live @ the rise 318 richmond st in Toronto "set my soul!, set my soul free!" the (Higher Dub) Mix was a pinnacle taste-defining track that represented "choice underground" to me in the mid-90s a staple often heard on dancefloors due to the rolling bass + scat vocals
