Profile
Collector / Discographer / Trader / Seller of records since the early 1990s. I wrote a discography of Columbus, Ohio's Datapanik Records and published it online way back in 1997. It still lives today with a few more discographies I authored or helped edit at my website CollectorScum.com. I was relatively late to joining Discogs (2011) but am now a top 300 contributor, sitting somewhere on page 6 of the contributors list.
My main collecting focus is late-1970s to early-1980s punk, but also stretching to the 1990s and beyond. I'm also increasingly interested in 1960s garage rock to the point where I probably buy more of those 45s for myself than punk ones in any given year. I've also started collecting 1950s 78s, mostly early rock 'n' roll and R&B.
My selling of records started out many years back as an outgrowth of maintaining a punk trade list. Over time I've become pretty knowledgeable about most every kind of music, and I now buy thousands of records (and tapes and 78s and reels and 8-tracks...) a year for resale. Check my feedback and you'll see that I'm a conservative grader, a secure packer, and a quick shipper. In the very rare case where a buyer has a problem (I'd peg it at well under 1 in 100 transactions), I will make it right.
Looking to sell an entire collection? I will travel within a reasonable distance of NYC to see any sizable collection of any genre, and will fly anywhere in the USA for a top punk or garage rock collection.
Please note I sometimes have better punk records not listed which are trade-only. Please inquire if you have higher-end 70s-80s worldwide punk records or memorabilia for trade.
