The drum pattern of "Duke Duvet" is taken from Depeche Mode's "Enjoy The Silence".

Why this has not been released on vinyl is beyond me. Crossing fingers for a double vinyl reissue to be released one day.

Stass - Songs Of Flesh And Decay
posted a review of Stass - Songs Of Flesh And Decay. over 4 years ago
The sound quality of this "production" is one of the worst I've ever heard. The device used for recording was probably an answering machine. I'm sorry, but the Corona Lockdown cannot serve as an excuse here. When I listen to this album I feel the urge... See full review

Papillon (2) - Different World (Everybody) / The Bully
posted a review of Papillon (2) - Different World (Everybody) / The Bully. over 17 years ago
IMO it's the 'The Bully' this record is worth buying for. While 'Different World' - being a cheesy "wave your hands in the air like you don't care" anthem - annoyed me after a few spins, 'The Bully' is catching my soul every time I put it on the... See full review
Marmion - Three After Midnight
posted a review of Marmion - Three After Midnight. over 18 years ago
The one to go for on this release is "Marmions Island Pt.2 - The Unknown Territory", a very dark and mystic slo-mo techno track with an industrial touch, running around 80 bpm. This track will always put a big grin on my face.
Station Rose - Digit Eyes
posted a review of Station Rose - Digit Eyes. over 18 years ago
This is perhaps the strangest Cyclotron release. "Station Rose" and "Digit Eyes" are different mixes of the same downtempo track with a woman singing the words "Digit Eyes" and "Smile" with a French accent, both very good, a little bit too slow for my... See full review
Orbital - Omen
posted a review of Orbital - Omen. over 18 years ago
I can remember picking this one up in a store way back without listening. I did not know the track before, only bought it, cause it was Orbital. Later at home it blew me away completely. The female voice throughout the track is plain awesome, in the... See full review
John Carpenter In Association With Alan Howarth - Prince Of Darkness (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)
posted a review of John Carpenter In Association With Alan Howarth - Prince Of Darkness (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack). over 18 years ago
This is soundtrack is close to perfection. It's one of those few examples where the music makes the movie. From the technical point of view it is - as most of Carpenter's early works - a motion picture score that repeats its main theme throughout the... See full review
D-Shake - Technotrance 2000 (The Remixes By DEA)
posted a review of D-Shake - Technotrance 2000 (The Remixes By DEA). over 18 years ago
While both DEA remixes of "Technotrance" aren't really bad, the real beauties of this release are the techno-trance tracks on the b-side. Both of them are so hypnotic and dreamy you'll instantly fall in love on the first listening. "L Trip - a - Luna"... See full review
Various - Untitled
posted a review of Various - Untitled. over 19 years ago
This recording is quite poor as you can hear some noise in the background during each track, which is noticable in quiet passages. However, it features the ultrarare X-tremity track which it makes it worth buying for nevertheless.
Power Fun - I Want
posted a review of Power Fun - I Want. over 19 years ago
"I Want" samples the Rap from Young MC's "The Fastest Rhyme - My Name Is Young". It's perhaps the strongest release on this Italian label besides the more known "How Gee" by Black Machine, definitely worth hunting for.
The Shamen - Pro>gen
posted a review of The Shamen - Pro>gen. over 19 years ago
For me personally it's all about the Ben Chapman Mix of "Lightspan", which has an alternative introduction to the original mix, making a DJs life easier. As well as the original it features the drum break with the awesome percussion beat of the... See full review
The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu - It's Grim Up North
posted a review of The Justified Ancients Of Mu Mu - It's Grim Up North. over 19 years ago
For me personally it's all about Part 2, an outstanding pumping techno track with weird breaks, way ahead of its time when it came out. It certainly stood the test of time, you can hardly believe it's 15 years old by now. Timeless!
Resistance D - Ztringz Of Life
posted a review of Resistance D - Ztringz Of Life. over 19 years ago
This album is definitely an ever-shining piece of trance music history. Usually there are one or two tracks you buy the album for, and that's all about it. Here you have eight outstanding and perfectly built tracks, each as beautiful as the others.... See full review

Freddy Spins - Ola-Ola-Ola
posted a review of Freddy Spins - Ola-Ola-Ola. over 19 years ago
Although Oliver Lieb's musical genius is unquestioned "Ola-Ola-Ola" is one of his weaker productions, the happy vocal samples on this techno track are too annoying. The one to go for is "Journey To Middle-Earth", a hypnotising downtempo track with a... See full review
Pete Shelley - Waiting For Love

I wonder why nobody commented on this release so far. "Designer Lamps" is an outstanding and totally weird track with dark industrial synths and screaming voices. Now 20 years later, it's still scary and fascinating.
