I'm a fan of many genres of music. I spend entirely too much time on Discogs. I write reviews, I rate stuff and I compile lists.

This album was a pleasant surprise for me. A lot of times when bands have long lengths of time between albums, you get less than enthralling efforts. That is not the case with From Where The Sun Never Shines. The release is the crust we all know Misery ... See full review

There's something about this band that scares the hell out of me in the best way possible. Maybe its their mysterious demeanor and sheer lack of info about them on their website or social networking pages. Perhaps its their nightmarish album artwork or ... See full review

I'm not entirely sure what to make of this album. Theres some high points as well as some low points. Skarp labels themselves blackout grind...a clever little play on genres that I believe does them no justice. I'm assuming the "blackout" portion is a ... See full review

I listen to a lot of really abrasive stuff. Alot of blast beats, chaotic guitars, rapid fire screams and just pure noise in general. For the most part I enjoy it immensely but on the occasions I need a change of pace, I have Asunder. Don't take that ... See full review

I was told a rumor that Dystopia are reuniting? Can anyone confirm this or has anyone else heard this?
posted a review of Dystopia (3) - Dystopia. over 5 years ago
In my opinion, this is Dystopia's strongest release on many levels. Not only is it the bands most well recorded album, this release really shows the bands progression and musical growth from their debut in the early 90's. Fans of Dystopia will find ... See full review

Take all of your spiked gauntlets, corpse paint, pentagrams and inverted crosses and throw them out the window. Actually, don't litter. Just throw all of that shit in the trash. Trust me. After Diadem of 12 Stars, you'll have a new outlook on black ... See full review

So I'll admit it. When I stumbled upon Mammoth Grinder, I thought I knew what to expect. With a name like Mammoth Grinder, a big menacing pointy logo, some album artwork on another release depicting a corpse being mangled by meat hooks, I was expecting a ... See full review

I forget exactly how I stumbled upon this album but I'm forever thankful that I did. It came at a time when I was about to give up completely on punk rock. It hit me like a ton of bricks and restored my faith in the genre. Rohnert Park opens with "Into ... See full review

I usually have little respect for bands in masks with elaborate stage shows and conceptual albums. More often than not, I find that sort of schtick cheesy and dismissible. But Ghoul...they have a sound and presence all their own. They take thrash metal, ... See full review

Dystopia were easily one of the darkest, angriest and most vicious bands ever to exist. They covered topics ranging from depression, war, suicide, racism, drug addiction and provided some of the harshest social commentary you could ever imagine. The ... See full review

Iskra is an Anarchist band from Canada. They blend elements of crust punk with elements of black metal to create fantastically original music. Throughout the years Iskra has seen numerous lineup changes. Guitar players, bassists, drummers and vocalists ... See full review

These guys definitely weren't meant for everyone, and with that being said, I thought they were amazing. Tracks ranging from harsh noise, spooky ambiance and spoken word to pure gabber/digital hardcore violence with a punk attitude and aesthetic. None of ... See full review

This is easily one of the greatest hip hop albums ever made. I never seem to get tired of it. The lyrics are smart and are delivered to their fullest potential over well crafted and delightfully jazzy instrumentals. Its truly a masterpiece.

A great record. Wonderfully cheesy and upbeat. Like the previous reviewer said, you can't help but smile when you hear it. But those who have it know what they have and wont part with. It's truly a rare gem. I don't think I've ever seen a copy for sale.
