What happened to the listing for the 2023 Black Vinyl reissue? It came with the lithographs, and I can confirm is a different pressing than the Target exclusive.

Totally different matrix runouts, etc.

the 2023 Black is... See full review

The SAFF cut / GZ pressing for this reissue is fatally flawed. It's so bad Important Records ordered a brand new cut / pressing within the year due to the defects and negative feedback. Apparently there was a screw up by someone in production and they... See full review

Decent enough mastering and cut, fairs better than most at NRP. I'd say it's still a bit compressed and lacks a spacious low end that i would expect given the source material. Love the addition of the 7".
However, the pressing is just flat out... See full review

This one's not AAA. Never has this been stated as such on VMP product page nor in their various forums of communication (Forum, Reddit, Discord, etc.) Kevin Gray has commented that the BN 2 Disc 45RPM titles he did for VMP at this time were from... See full review

Another one of the great ones from "The Impulse! Reissue Series". many of the 96-97 batches are the best cuts/pressings out there.

In my opinion this one bests the original. It's very natural and open. Cut about as hot as you could from the original... See full review

The Future Disc cut is good. The pressing is a bit noisy from Rainbo. not their best. I believe the remastered source helps out here.

it's shallow and more of a collectors item than something worth spinning. I prefer some of the remastered CDs I've heard of this album over this original pressing. any amount of money you'd spend on this pressing would be better spent going towards... See full review

Disappointing pressing. Noisy vinyl all around, tons of surface noise, crackle after a few wet cleans. Low quality wax, (my copy has jagged serrated edges), vocal sibilance all over the place (Hard Piano being the worst). For the most part I enjoyed... See full review

agree with maka_ here "best cut of this album" yet. but I feel like this might need a complete new remaster if we really wanted to see the full potential realized on vinyl. All these pressings likely used the same source, so we're really just... See full review

Incredible album (the title track is a top three Sanders song in my book)... but this pressing sounds thin and flat. When possible avoid the original Impulse US green bullseye pressings (1974-79). Though there are not a lot of options here, the Japan,... See full review

Rarely do you hear a 25+ min per side of an LP sound so good. There's some unobtrusive surface noise on my copy, but that's the extent of the flaws. And zero IGD. It amazes me that the sound quality on this is far superior to the later 2xLP Traffic... See full review

Heard this album 1000 times and I don't think i've ever heard it sound as good as it does on this pressing (STERLING A-2 / B EG). To echo lucaper, the soundstage is incredible. The bass is perfect (nice and fat like a reggae record should be but... See full review

the censored word is in the beginning of verse two when Malik B. says "And don't stop, just droppin off my bags, you f**s". The rest of the song remains "uncensored" (ie Black Thoughts verse 1 still dropping the profanity in all its grace).

noticed something similar on a few tracks from the 1st pressing. doesn't seem to be a problems with later pressings that use the same stampers, so must have been just with that specific run.
