Marley and his massively talented protege K-Def were on a roll in the mid-90’s, but sadly a good chunk of their best work went unreleased due to typical Industry Rule #4080 bullshit. This one is a legit lost masterpiece of post-Illmatic Queensbridge... See full review

This will always probably be a bit of a divisive one, but it hits hard! Instrumental, destroyed-beat mayhem that’s kinda unexpected but also leaves the adventurous wondering where else they could’ve taken this. If this is the end, a fittingly... See full review

Only had the CDR of a vinyl rip prior to this, and listening to this remaster from the original tapes is like listening to this for the first time. Absolutely amazing. Really hope Hospital does something similar with Age Of Dissent, Punishment, or... See full review

Wish they would’ve used better quality versions of “How Nice I Am” and especially “Come Take A Ride”, but nice to have all of this in one place. Both this, the Kamakazee album, and Sah-B’s album all need a legitimate release, but until then, this is... See full review

The vinyl version mistakenly switches the credits for "I Come With Skills" and "Betta Duck." The latter was recorded in 2001 and produced by DJ Louie; the former clearly shouts out 1996 as the year and is more in line with the sound of that era.

It's an alter-ego Del created, with his voice pitched up. The rhyme schemes and inflections are identical if you listen closely.

It's interesting how people forget how much crap Dilla got back in the 90's for those last two Tribe albums. Personally, I love them, and his work on both is stellar. But I'm glad heads are coming around to these. All Tribe albums have so much to recommend. See full review

This mix by Premo has most every subterranean banger from the mid-90's. "Properties Of Steel", "Head Over Wheels," "Change," "Too Complex," "Metal Thangs", and "Shine"...the indie hip-hop scene circa this era was un-fucking-touchable and incredibly special. See full review

Whole album is a fucking BANGER that still continues to get overlooked. "Danger" was the only huge hit from this, but the album itself is front-to-back solid as hell. Not reinventing the wheel, but confident and solid as hell. Far from a one-hit... See full review
