Record Collector's Grading System
PERFECT (MINT)
the disc: the disc itself is new, with no signs of wear on the surface and no changes in sound quality; cover: the cover and additional elements such as a poster, a card with texts are in perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EXCELLENT)
disc: shows some signs of use, but the reduction in sound quality is minimal;
cover: cover and packaging may be slightly wear and tear
and / or have slight bends.
VERY GOOD
the record: has been played many times, but it does not show a significant decrease in sound quality, despite noticeable signs on the surface and slight scratches;
cover: normal wear and tear of the cover and additional elements without significant defects.
GOOD
the record: has been played so often that the sound quality is noticeably lower; slight distortion and medium scratches may appear;
cover: creases appear, corners are torn off, edges are rubbed, color fading, and more.
SATISFACTORY (FAIR)
the record: playable but not cared for properly, may cause loud crackling or skipping.
cover: torn, stained and / or blurred.
KIEPSKI (POOR)
the record will not play well with scratches, bad noise, etc.;
cover: badly damaged or partially missing.
BAD (BAD)
the record is unplayable and may even be broken;
a copy for collectors only.
cover: badly damaged (e.g. in pieces) or missing.
