Totally quiet, perfect pressing, but a bit thin-sounding. I would say that on the first side, at least, the 1995 sounds warmer, more bassy, and Martina's voice is more centered. The soundstage is narrower for sure on the 2018, though the 2018 is not a ... See full review

This is a superb mastering, Brighter than the UK original but not in a negative way.

My copy has THE IP[OTENCE OF...] on the side A runout. It's hard to make out the whole phrase but there is definitely no M after the I. In all other respects it's a UK 1st. Any theories?

Agreed. I got mine extremely cheap – without the obi.

Not sure if my 2012 is 180g but it's mastered by Kevin Gray (it has 'KPG@CA' in addition to the matrices for the 2012 listing). Something odd about this 2012 listing but this version sounds great.

I'm glad you said that about the 'crackle'. It's on Spotify, too.

Looks like this is a hybrid of PN, Pete Norman (PN), and Allen Landau (ALLEN). It's less harsh than a Piros US mid-'70s but a bit veiled, depending on your point of view.

Is it strange that this green issue has 'CALFONT' on one of the sides and is signed 'Bernie G-----' (not typical for Grundman I believe, though it is on the companion red vinyl soundtrack) and has no BG in the dead wax, whereas the European has CHALFONT ... See full review

I have the exact matrices on my copy as on this DGC, Geffen edition, but the spine of my LP has a serial number (0720642442517) that only matches the Back in Black versions! Matrix / Runout (Side A): BG DGC 24425 A -21919- P. USA 18200.1 (3)•••

Stereos were remastered by Merino. If it was Grundman, it would almost definitely have 'BG' in the deadwax or 'Bernie G–––'.

I have the exact matrices as the matrices in the listings. It's a side-loader. This is a really beautiful record, as good as if not better than some of the early 70s U.K.s.

This is a very decent-sounding iteration. I have exactly these matrices. Has some funky 3D soundstage in parts. I have exactly these matrices. I don't have the orginal '77 reissue, but I reckon this would be worth getting.

Have to update this. 'Hologram' isn't the right term, but the it seems that the 'lenticular print' cover has a day-time, blue sky as opposed to the night-time sky seen in the cover associated with this second listing on Discogs. So the mention of ... See full review

It seems that 'lenticular cover' is the right term (and not 'hologram'), so apologies for any confusion (I can't seem to delete my above post).
