Excellent soundtrack. One of those films where the sound design and score are really woven together so it is interesting to listen to it in isolation.

One of my top five records from 2021, VC-118A’s new album is sonically diverse but with a cohesive through line. After wading through a lot of mediocre albums by artists who primarily release singles, this stands out.

My hands down favorite record of the last year. I’ve been playing it a couple times a week since I picked it up. Straddles a few genres, but consistently melodic and beautiful with great sound design.

Amazing record. I was a little let down by the cheap yet fussy sleeve though.

Great record as always on Meanwhile. Bovill walks a nice line between very deep house and dub techno.

Dark, hypnotic and gorgeous. I like a lot of Hypnus' stuff but this is one of their best.

Really enjoying this one. For me it's all about the B side.

This is a decent record, and if it was on another label I wouldn't bother expressing disappointment - but I wanted more out of Meanwhile. Just feels a little thin, both sonically and in its content.

Loving this record. I know the description says one side is 45, but this sounds good to me at 33 on both sides.

Great record. I hear more surface nice than I'd expect, and the packaging is kind of weird too, just a bag and a paper flat.

Does anybody else have problems with surface noise on this LP?

I noticed some too.

Meanwhile sets a really high bar with every release, and this may be the best album on the label.

I dig the Philogresz remix, but not really feeling the other tracks - a little bland to my ears.

Great record. Some of the deepest dubbiest material I've found on vinyl.

Having a little trouble wading through all the tracks on here for the solid stuff - but there definitely is some.

(Some of that is just wrestling with the annoying packaging, I never want to dig out the next record.)

Bovill - Transfesa EP as reviewed by emulsion

Solid record. Bovill just quietly puts out deep, well-produced releases like this every few years. Sounds like a warm-up for "Analogue Mapping" as well, similar sound palette.

Fantastic record. Such deep ambience laying on top of some solid techno.

Can't get in to this one. I couldn't hear much progression within tracks, or over the course of the record. It all feels a little static.

PCB (3) - Deft EP as reviewed by emulsion

Great record. The A-side is solid and reminds me more of other stuff by Pendle Coven, but the super deep B-side really spoke to me. It's a slow burn with waves of dubby chord progressions, giant kicks, and melodic bass slowly dropping in.

Listening to it with the sub on was a stomach churner, always a good sign.
