the Charly comp https://www.discogs.com/Ernie-K-Doe-Here-Come-The-Girls-A-History-1960-1970/release/6280348 has also been blocked. Both feature Al Reeds song Kiss Tommorow Goodbye. But Danny White's version is still allowed.

This record is not Julie Driscoll and Brian Auger preforming together. It is a compilation of songs they recorded separately before they got together in their famous partnership - Julie Driscoll, Brian Auger and The Trinity. Though they were... See full review

I just watched the Muscle Shoals documentary and found out the Swampers and have just seen that the MG's are on this album. All the times I've seen this record and scoffed at this record, and it turns out to be Rod's Memphis album. Looks like i'll be... See full review

Very interesting rendition of the Blind Willie Johnson spiritual blues number Lord I Just Can't Keep From Crying, Sometimes. The music creates the mood, while the vocals deliver the emotional intensity.

I should imagine the price tag is to do with who it is. He was a very highly respected musician and producer in the 60's and 70's, and this is his only release under his own name. So its more a memorabilia thing, than a quality thing.

Does this pressing have inherent distortion at the high end, especially the first two tracks on side 1, or is it just my copy?

A compliation taken for the series of blues compilations "Blues Anytime Vol.1 - 3 - An Anthology Of British Blues" on the Immediate Records label from the late 1960's.

The song Lets Walk Down The Street Together is pure amazing. Strong, competent vocals, solid groove, wonderful interplay between the singers.

Cannot believe its only been compiled once, 20 years ago! Shocking behaviour of the so called Deep Soul fraternity. See full review

The Guinness Book of British Singles, 2nd Ed, 1979, has it listed as Yellow Submarine/Eleanor Rigby. All the other entries in Discogs for the 1966 UK releases have it ER/YS. What is the source all the others have worked from and why the discrepancy?... See full review

How can Dhani Harrison be on this if he was born 8 years after it was recorded? Is this some crazy Krishna reincarnation trick?

The CD runs in chronological order, starting from 1966 and going up to 1981. This gives a picture of the changing sound over 15 years of soul music. Personally I start to phase out after '75.

I'm looking for information about the band Airhead (4) Their song 'You Knock Me Down' appears on the CD Psychedelic States: Texas In The 60s Vol. 1 and everyone in Internet-land swears it sounds '76, not '66 as claimed. The only information I can find about it is that it had... See full review

The data for this release runs contrary to the information in the notes for Sharon Tandy's compilation You Gotta Believe It's... Sharon Tandy

I'm looking at the Humble Pie compilation from NEMS. There are two releases, one from 1976 - catalogue number IML 1005 and one from 1977 - number IML 2005. Not sure if the '76 one would be a better quality than this series, or if its all much of muchness? See full review

Why does it have "Taylor" on the writing credits for the UK release but "W. Lee" on the US release? Who are these people?

You're thinking of Little Joe Cook for the Chris Farlowe pseudonym. He only released one single under this name; Stormy Monday Blues on Sue Records.

I'm looking for those 5 songs. I heard Sweet Country and found out about the others. I can't find this release for sale. The US release titled "Greatest Hits" only has two of the songs Steal Away and Slow Cookin' and thats easy to get hold of.
