This session from June 1979 gave way to the only studio album by the jazz group TOK (3) (an acronym for the names of its musicians). And a fine session it was, impeccably recorded by engineer Martin Wieland.

All except one theme were effectively... See full review

This is another fine album in the long and beautiful tradition of solo piano recordings on the ECM Records label. Well, not quite solo piano, as some pieces are punctuated by the processing of sounds collected from field recordings and instruments.

A program of chamber music works organized chronologically, allowing at the same time, through the instruments included in each of the compositions, the creation of its own dramaturgy, as is characteristic of the ECM Records label, in addition to... See full review

This is a marvelous piano recital by a young artist, with a very natural recorded piano sound.

The cleverly 'composed program' includes novelty (the Reinecke transcriptions and the Fados) and is conducted by the interconnections between the composers... See full review

The natural recorded sound and the warm strings of the Quatuor Béla round off the austerity of this rarely recorded quartet, the only one composed by Albéric Magnard. Harry Halbreich, quoted in the excellent liner notes, said that this... See full review
