i'm literally dying and i'm on a quest to review my collection in the meantime so that my friends can always have the option of having me rant to them about music they don't care about <3

This release has really grown on me. The first few times I heard it a few songs stood out to me, but it wasn't one of my favorite AM releases. I've come back to it a few times and it gets better each time I hear it. It also contains my favorite AM song, ... See full review

Having started with Drudkh, I stumbled upon this band. The first time I heard it I was outside on a cold moonlit night, under the influence of cannabis. At first I thought that the album was defective because of the abrupt song stops. I quickly realized ... See full review

I didn't have high hopes for this album, but I was pleasantly surprised. In general, I haven't been a big fan of Kaos's music. I'm not much a fan of the "greek" approach to darkpsy - not a big fan of Polyphonia or Stranger, either. Nonetheless, ... See full review

Just now hearing this in 2018. This sounds extremely dated and wouldn't hold up in a modern DJ set. It's very digital sounding, in a bad way. Fake guitars on a couple tracks. FL Slayer and FL Plucked! are clearly audible. This is very cheesy, bro-psy ... See full review

Production doesn't hold up well ten years later (with the exception of the first track), but it's a fun listen. The Parus track is very well written.

An absolutely delightful sensory assault, this is among the best heavy electronics tapes I have heard. I think we'll be looking back on this as an industrial classic in 10 years time.

This is a collection of early mp3 tracks from the artists involved. Most of it is really primitive, I don't think any of it could be played in a set today. If you're interested in the early days of darkpsy though, this is a fun trip back in time. tracks ... See full review

There was a golden age of darkpsy in the mid 2000s, and this album was definitely a part of it. The entire thing is an incredibly fun ride. The first three tracks probably wouldn't hold up on modern dancefloors (a bit weak on the production by modern ... See full review

I love darkpsy, but this is my first 1-star review. From what I can tell, it's not because of the songwriting, either. The mastering is absolute total garbage. there's digital clipping all over the album, and on the parts where isn't unwanted distortion, ... See full review

I once defended amphetamine because it can be a potent inspiration for art. In retrospect I feel that this album was divine punishment for having made that statement.

LJDLP's contribution to this split is quite atmospheric and entrancing, with a pleasant (if ominous) melody and clashing vocal loops. Very warm tones. The a-side of this release doesn't catch my ear as much, but I certainly don't mind it.

I really enjoy artistic packaging, and so I hate to denigrate this release, but the music really doesn't do it for me. The melodies don't seem to go anywhere and seem amateur-esque to my ears. I'll try some of ACOH's other music, but this didn't do ... See full review

My first exposure to trance was in the late 90s, and it was a lot of "hard trance" - which at the time meant 150-bpm-ish trance, not the slow, anthemic trance which those words would connotate as time went on. There wasn't enough of it, so a lot of DJs ... See full review

It's hard for me to decide what my favorite release is by Marco, but this is the one I usually come back to. The synth work is just so palpable; the emotions are right there in the room with you. Music for a dark room and bad coping skills.
