Good sounding recording on the London Oxblood label. Not many out there.

Flexi-disc. Would not recommend for use on precision tables. Use heavy tracking or vintage type player

Audio speaking, "Miracles" has the most dynamics of any vinyl record I've ever heard. Starts out very softly then builds to a loud crescendo. Don't crank up the volume when you start playing this song.
Amazingly, it doesn't distort. Overall, I... See full review

This is one of those songs that simply sound better on 45 RPM

As a kid I listened to an old scratchy record on a portable record player and I would play it over and over. Now that I am supposed to be an audiophile, with a great new NM copy, It sounds spectacular. Jerry Lewis' son Gary. Never knew it.

Great sounding reissue. The Who at their best. Finally heard it in it's entirety for the first time. Now I know why it was rated so high.

Some of Al's best work. I bought an early pressing and loved it to death. The CD is phenomenal. I am even hearing a "whew" at the end of the song with Paco De Lucia. Was it always there?? Anyone??

Sounds like a late pressing. Might even be a rarity.

You should not have that issue. Buy a M or NM copy. This one needs to be heard in good quality.

If you bought this at a thrift store I'd say it was a great find if it was in good shape. ;

I bought the record in 1979. I believe the release was 1977. Hope this helps.

The CD sounds great. However, it includes the re-edited version of Caribean Queen. In which I believe would have been better served with the original version. Good sound quality. You can get this one at a bargain these days. I say GO. Just be... See full review

The early days of rock n roll. Heavy vinyl in cardboard record covers. A great way to discover the roots of the Beach Boys, Ventures, Johnny Cash and countless others. Don't expect great audio quality but in it's day this record was "right in... See full review

If your interested in learning about the beginnings of rock n' roll, this is a good pkace to start. Right away you hear the familiar "twang" sound which sooo many performers adopted along the way. It appears that when they recorded these songs, they... See full review

This is a great compilation album. I always felt that it was underrated and the songs were never played enough when they became "oldies". I think the vinyl actually sounds better than the CD. It has more clarity and feeling.

This is one of my all-time favorites. The music is amazing and it also serves as a good test record. It will put your system through the paces as far as dynamics are concerned. As you read the liner notes you are reminded that back then-the early... See full review

I bought this at a flea market for $10.00. It been played a lot. The cover and sleeve were worn but the records plays nice even with some surface noise. I really like the record. If you haven't got into Brubeck yet, this will be a good start. I... See full review

Surprised by the big band accompanyment. A great recording and sampling of Wes' playing. ;It's easy to see where so many jazz guitarists were influenced by Wes Montgomery.

Having owned many copies, this is probably one of the most complete of all the compilations out there.
IMO. there are only a couple of other songs that may have qualified. Both the record and CD sound great.
Even the 8-Track and cassette tapes sound good. See full review

Keep in mind that Johnston was having health issues that forced him to depart. McDonald was brought in because he was already well known to the management and had a reputation of being a good commercial artist. This would help the Doobies continue... See full review

I like the record better here. The CD seems to have volume differences and doesn't have the same liveliness as the LP.

I'm guessing you mean the re-issue. If that's the case, not all good albums were remastered, re-issued. In this case, It's a shame.

This has the full version of "I'm Not In Love". Streaming services only have the radio version which is edited.
