..and Blawan? His name came to my mind first when hearing Alden's (new?) techno sound..
|

When you do, you've got yourself a place to stay. I have this on rotation right now. Don't know if my sub's bigger than yours but it's plenty big. :)

I'm not the one to comment on releases frequently but it baffles me that no one has said anything about this little gem of an album. It's simply splendid! Very soothing and majestic..
Rhein Valley is the highlight of the album for me; it really lifts... See full review |

So this really isn't you, Danny?
Amazing album nonetheless, Victor! ;) |

I don't know. I get what you guys are saying but after about ten visits, I'm still enjoying this album more and more every single time.. it's very pleasing to my ears - and soul?
|

If it really wasn't any good, it wouldn't have been released on L.I.E.S. in the first place.
|

Drexciya, anyone? You know what they say about imitation.. and this guy does it so well.
|
![]() |
So in fact you ARE into hardcore. ;) You just never heard the good stuff before..
|
![]() |
Agreed. It's all about the Intrusion reshapes for me. Absolutely mind-blowing dub techno..
|

It's almost like Andy Stott and Burial had a child and named it Evitceles.
|

I agree with the most you said but... I don't think it's better than Scion's mix. It's a completely different beast.

Listening to this album after reading the comments below I kept thinking: where do they get Drexciya? And then I heard the last track.. even this hiss/static at the end is beautiful.
|
![]() |
That's interesting because I find it the most impressive of the ones that I've heard (and I've heard most of them).
|

Does it get any better? Is this the pinnacle of US disco?
|

I feel this deserves a higher rating. Mobility is a perfect burner in true dub tech fashion.
|

I would've agreed if it wasn't for Song 04. :)
|
![]() |
Is that a good thing? :/
(so I enter a few more words..) |
![]() |
So do I. When I listen to Elseq I can't help but think their earlier work is just much better. Yes, I said it, better.
|

Such drive. Much wow. They don't make 'm like this anymore. To have all of this bliss on one disc is a godsend.

I get lots of distortion on 'Computer Flop', my favorite track. :(
It was a brand new copy of the repress. Anybody else experiencing this? |
![]() |
I didn't like it at first either. Now I think it's one of the best tracks on the album.
|
![]() |
Don't forget rave, gabber, hardcore. :)
I have to enter at least four more words. |

Criminally underrated. This album rocks!
So I enter at least five more words. |

First few tracks are (very) cool. I really grew into them!
It makes me sad to say that the rest is pretty boring though. Not up to Eargoggle standards. |

15 minutes and 17 seconds from Alpha, some Mercurian Funk on the flipside... it doesn't get any better.
|
![]() |
And I dare say it's as least as good as its predecessor. Damn.
|

To me it somehow makes perfect sense NOT to release this on physical formats. These are (alien?) sounds from the distant future. There won't be any vinyl, CD, cassette, MiniDisc or DAT in the year 3.984.

Aquarium Glass could very well have been a Drexciya track. Chinese Sector one by Dopplereffekt. It's all highly recommended!
|
![]() |
O how I'd love a physical release of this awesomeness!
|
![]() |
This is so much better than anything I've ever heard him do in the club or at festival... give it to me raw!
|
![]() |
Definitely. Imo it's nothing short of amazing. Try it again.
|
![]() |
I wholeheartedly agree. This is so damn good. Already listened to it dozens of times.
|

I'm no connoisseur but I think this sounds A LOT like Nirvana. And I'm glad that it does! :)
|
![]() |
...but fascinating. :) (typing this just so I can post it)
|
![]() |
Wholeheartedly agreed. What happened to you? Where's your drive, Theo?! :(
|
![]() |
Def. his best work to date. Awesome production, stunning in every way.
|
![]() |
Some of his best work not released on vinyl. Such a pity.
|
![]() |
It's electro in my book. AND it's pure sound design. :)
|
![]() |
How many times have you visited this album?
|
![]() |
Probably my favorite BoC release. It's so beautiful it almost brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. Perfection exists.
|
![]() |
Nothing wrong with the mastering here. This is how it sounds and this is how it should sound.
|

A wonderful and remarkable album in the sense that everything Carretta produced after this is, well... not as good. As PatrickS' review states, all tracks are filled with that unmistakable oldschool electro/italo-disco vibe. High-paced, at times...

This album breathes the atmosphere that was created in the movie "The Blair Witch Project". Hence the title of the first track and the sample that was used in it.
The creapiest album I've ever come across and immediately fell in love with. Crawls up... See full review |
