Profile
My interests are understanding the process of getting music from the recording studio to the consumer.
I've completed cataloging my collection and am continuing to refine (and correct) my previous submissions, and acquiring a better understanding of discog rules. My main activity is profile review & research, following selected forums, assisting those who ask for help and attempting to understand more about the black art of identifying specifics on labels, deadwax and packaging.
-Images; I don't vote without a complete set of images. ".....-Good images are good, bad images are better than no images and most importantly, no images are always better than incorrect ones......"

2. PR Etches W.B.
Prior to around 1977-78, PRC pressings had 'PR' written in the deadwax simultaneous to Presswell pressings, thus inviting confusion amongst record collectors. Partly due to this and partly due to PRC opening a second plant in Compton, CA, was when the PRC plant began writing 'PRC' in the deadwax - followed by 'PRC-R' for Richmond pressings or 'PRC-C' or 'PRC-W' for the Compton pressings. Both plants by this time had a "pudding bowl" pressing ring of approx. 2.75" and a smaller ring of about 1.25" or 1.375" - similar to how the label area of Presswell LP's was shaped for years." ᴚԀ
