I've heard many a reissue that did not sound as good as the og press.

Mine does the same. I find it extremely annoying. Guess I'll just have to stick with the cd or digital for this album.

A concise and astute distillation of Tindersticks. Well said, my friend.

Anyone else think this pressing sounds bad? I don't have the original on vinyl, this one sounds a bit dull.

Yeah, I noticed the hi hats, too. Thought it was my stylus going, but the highs in the vocals and guitars are clear. Just the hats sound like a distorted 808.

Same issue with the pale blue pressing. Really is a shame being such a marvelous record. Perhaps I'll seek out the European press. Pardon me if this has been mentioned, but does anyone know if the black press of this in the US is this bad?

Good news to hear! I have the original, but this is such a lovely record I would certainly shell out for the repress. Not to the tune of 100 USD though!
Kind Regards,
