I had similar issues with 2 Norah Jones 33rpm AP. Acoustic Sounds are very good about replacing them but they cost a fortune to send to Canada.

"An excellent recording, a pristine pressing, mastering by George Marino - this thing's got air and depth in spades. The music is warm and smooth, accessible and catchy. The Umbrellas pay ultimate homage to Nino Rota, one of the most prolific and...

This is a mono not stereo recording. "2009 “From the Vaults” mono pressing, erroneously bearing a stereo label. G1 pressing, mastered by Ron McMaster." http://www.11fifty.com/Site_108/1958_-_Come_Fly_with_Me_2.html

Though the label on the record says 'Stereo' this issue is a mono recording and plays superior with a mono cartridge over a stereo cartridge.

This is a mono recording but since I can't make any submissions I'm unable to do an edit. The 33 rpm is a stereo recording. https://elusivedisc.com/lee-morgan-candy-numbered-limited-edition-180g-45rpm-2lp-mono/

I agree & it's a major reason I seek out mono jazz recordings. I immediately went into other releases of this album and it appears a mono recording was never released. I know there is lots of hoopla about the Music Matters / Tone Poet recordings but I...

On the Sam Records website it mistakenly had it listed as stereo issue (which has been corrected). Mono it is. You can play a mono recording with a stereo cartridge but playing a stereo record with a mono cartridge (like a Miyajima) can cause damage.

10:11 AM (7 hours ago) to me Hello Steve, You’re right, i made a mistake on my website. Mono and Stereo written for the Art Blakey but this is a Mono recording. I change this. The Nathan Davis Sextet is a Stereo recording using Original... See full review |

This is not a mono recording like many offerings from Sam Records. http://www.samrecords.fr/shop/art-blakey-the-new-jazzmen-live-in-paris-65-sam-records-1965/. Don't want anybody to ruin their record by playing it with a mono cartridge.

This is a fantastic sounding piece of vinyl, has a great live sound. Vinyl is quiet and the song selections is great, with blues such as Howlin’ Wolf’s “Baby How Long” and Little Walter’s “Blues With A Feeling” along with soul numbers “Why Can’t We...

I bought this because my original Canadian pressing was a little noisy for my taste. Something about this reissue seems veiled to me. I purchased the SACD which I prefer over this pressing. I still like my original pressing the best except for the...

Speakers Corner (SP) did a great job on this release - much better then my original Canadian pressing (which I liked until I heard this one). I have purchased the SP 'Minute By Minute' based on this one. I'm looking forward to hearing that one.

Billy Joel does a nice take on the Sam & Dave "You Got Me Hummin'. 'Tell Her About It' is different from the album version; a special version mixed by John "Jellybean" Benitez. Worth picking up if your fan of Billy Joel & Innocent Man.

Overlooked underrated album by Ben Vaughn. I own over 10 albums by BV but I listen to this one the most. When I first bought it I was a bit taken back that there was no singing on it. What brings me back to it is the excellent instrumentals &...

I bought my copy based on a review in The Absolute Sound that gave it 4/5 for sonics. I wasn't impressed, found it somewhat dull compared to my original copy, I sent my copy back to Amazon.

This is a great SACD Surround disc (stereo is also very good). One of the best examples when surround sound is done well. It doesn't hurt that the performances and music is excellent - highly recommended.

I acquired 3 different copies from Amazon Canada with all the problems stated below. I kept one of those copies. I also ordered another one from Amazon.com with similar results. I now have 2 copies and I want to make one of them available. Worst...

This is a great sounding recording in the audiophile grade. It also includes Ray Bryant's distinctive & soulful style of jazz, blues, boogie-woogie, etc. Recommended for the sound & music.
