“The track ‘R2D2’ was my attempt at hardcore, it’s awful. The other tracks on there had 4/4 drum patterns going on, about 145bpm. This was at a time when labels were coming out of the jungle scene so we borrowed some money to... See full review |
In Issue 32 of Eternity magazine (1995) Fabio reviews a dubplate by Danny C - Summer / Sunday Like A. Possible they could be the titles of these tracks because I can't see any other Danny C tracks released in '95 without titles etc?

According to Klute, this release sold around 1,500 copies. Also, "Right Or Wrong" was originally created as a remix for a band called The Fuzz. He had sent it off to them, but never heard anything back, so he gave it to Paul Arnold.

Could Suburbia be an alias of the house act from mid-90's, Rated PG? The artist names Geoff Taylor & Panos Liassi match up.

According to Stuart Shaw on YT, Terence Trent D'Arby (or his label) sued him/SUAD for 50% of the royalties. SUAD went bankrupt and Stuart got paid nothing. The track was made using a Roland W30.

According to the artist the vocal was recorded live in one take and recorded straight to DAT. Hence, there's no accappella available.

Roger Sanchez reportedly had to wine and dine Thomas Bangalter at the restaurant at the top of the Eiffel Tower in order to get permission to rework Thomas's dad's track.

This was made out of frustration with Scott Brown sampling their tunes on simpler records and having big hits with them. They decided to make their own simple track, not expecting it to be a hit.

The label was named as a tribute to the UK producer Acen. Patrick's favourite track was 'The Life And Crimes Of A Ruffneck', so he took the "Ruffneck" part and named his label and his DJ pseudonym accordingly.

This was Patrick Van Kerckhoven's last track before he left 80 Aum Records and set up Wipe-Out.

Cocaine was recorded in 1993. Wasn't released until 1994 as he hadn't produced any other tracks for the b-side.

Terrible name for a tune, but solid piece of early 90s house. Well worth the pennies it's currently going for.

Captain's Log features a riff made from Loftgroover's fart in the studio. Not sure how to add this as an uncredited performance credit :D

Is the version on the promo the same as either Mix 2 or Mix 3 on the full release?
