Started out with hip-hop. Later on, I discovered electronic music. I mostly listen to house and techno, but I'm open to pretty much any genre of music.

The Times Like This track is pretty remarkable. I also first heard it in Levon Vincent's Fabric mix. Completely reptitive but mesmerizing.

Still listening to this two years later, as far as compilations go I think it's one of the better ones. Great sample of tunes, timeless sound.

The only good album from Major Lazer, it's a fun one, with some pop sensibilities in it, but still true to its roots in dancehall music. It's too bad Diplo went off the wayside and pursued dull house music since.

"Give Me Some Acid" is indeed a very underrated tune. First heard it on Mike Servito's bunker podcast, its a standout for sure.

I'm just always impressed how many tracks of this quality the duo has put out over the years. If an artist is lucky, he'll put out a single track like this in his career.

I'm pretty damn sure this is the best techno record of 2014. First heard it on a mix from South London Ordnance.

If you were wondering what dubstep is, there really isn't a better track to give you a taste than "Feel It". You will feel those deeper frequencies - and you will like it, too.
Akkord - Navigate EP

"Navigate" is thrilling dark dubstep track that turns your head when you first hear it. I first discovered it on Akkord's RA podcast (a great mix in its own right) and it stands out, no doubt. Only on a good sound system will you hear the ultra low... See full review

An average mix with a strong track selection but mediocre flow or cohesion. I expected more out of Hess, but this mix gave me the impression he just isn't that great of a DJ. At least he has quality taste, however.

Chicago footwork is finally coming onto its own. It's like what dubstep was in the UK in 2006 - something different and fresh for the dance music scene. Smart move by Hyperub to recognize the changing times and adopt a new sound. In particular, pay... See full review

May very well be one of the most overlooked albums in recent memory. Tadeo is not well known, not hyped, and not mentioned among the relevant techno artists today. So it was bound to happen that an album so strong would go by totally unnoticed.... See full review
