This is such a deeply beautiful looking and well pressed record from a band who celebrates connection with the earth and a biodynamic approach to doom metal. Love that they pressed this in earth brown!

The spooky track Intron.Ix contains a dialog sample from David Lynch's film version of DUNE, quoting the emperor speaking to a Spacing Guild navigator about the planet Ix, a world known for being "supreme in machine culture."

This gentleman is a total madman, from the album design to the aural aesthetic -- like robotech meets robocop on acid, as experienced during a free fall rollercoaster drop. The 12" Type Xer0 is probably my favorite.

this disc, to me, defines what ambient music *is.* self-explanatory, so i won't wax on about it. as an aside, inoue has a funny cameo taking field recordings inside his apartment in the film 'modulations'.

Gold Chains tore the frickin' ROOF off at the DEMF pre-party last year at Royal Kuba (philippino karaoke bar) here in Detroit. After that, finding GC tracks was job one.
