Sorry to hear that. I guess with credits on just under 5000 releases there's got to be a few duds in there.

Well, you can't really question his work ethic can you.

Not sure really, but it does show poor pressings up to be just that. In contrast these are both exemplary records, between which I couldn't notice a major difference. I would say it probably helps I was fortunate enough to find the original in NM. For... See full review

This is interesting but a bit tragic really. Hopefully the master tapes aren't lost.

If you've not noticed a tonne of scratches hopefully mine is a one off.

I honestly cant believe so much effort has been put into this release, which is just beautiful - only for the records to be shipped in paper sleeves. Mine are so scuffed up they look like something pulled out of a charity shop 50p bin. So... See full review

The yen is so low at the moment all these great tracks releases are cheaper direct from Japan. I use cdjapan or hmv.co.jp.

I uploaded photos for this and the 2019 re-release for anyone looking to play spot the difference. Now having spent some time with both, I think it's fair to say I would be happy with either. In all honesty I’m not sure I could point out a difference... See full review

I wonder if Richard here went for the blue, yellow or 180g copy.

I think eatdogs has misunderstood the question (or not seen the news). The new deluxe editions available on the MBV store look to be a re-pressing of this, which is the all analogue official Kevin Sheilds remaster.

Don't quote me on this, but i'm sure I read the 180g has been pressed at RTI and the others at Pallas.

I can't believe the guys got the actual James Brown in and only 122 people own the album. Definitely underrated, this is a beautiful release of way off centre electronic music. Recommended.

This is available at hmv.co.jp on it's 4th pressing, making me think it's not exclusive to RS day 2016.

Sounds great! Pressed in Japan with minimal surface noise. To be honest, how could anyone turn down a surreal, synth heavy fictional Bollywood... See full review

Incredibly high quality, thoughtful release. Perfectly flat, heavy records that sound incredible. Gatefold is well done, in keeping with the original artwork. Not sure how many have being pressed, I have No.52.
