Guided By Voices - Scalping The Guru

Definitely needle drops and there are missing tracks. Also missing key tracks from the scientist Ep and others so you really need to pick up all of the original EPs and singles. This is just nice to have as a one stop listen.

Such a fantastic little 3 track single! All 3 tracks are excellent esp the GBV side.
Guided By Voices - Devil Between My Toes
posted a review of Guided By Voices - Devil Between My Toes. 2 days ago
An overlooked gem in the GBV catalog that has it all, jangle pop, psych pop, post punk etc. of the early lps I find this one to be my favorite. All 300 are most likely with the die hard collectors and fans so we may not see more than 1 or 2 come up... See full review

Not a fan of most MoFi pressings. Never was. I do like their inner sleeves however.

Like a lost Eagles album that falls in line just perfectly with desperado and their first. As for the pressing, it’s got a nice wide soundstage and deep bass. Excellence with most piros masters and this one is NO exception
Stackridge - Stackridge
posted a review of Stackridge - Stackridge. 3 days ago
These early Stackridge lps are so overlooked especially if you loved the harmony soaked Beatles sound mixed with joy of a toy Kevin Ayers era. Don’t sleep on this one! PS: this UK original is the pressing to get.
Aerosmith - Draw The Line

A really nice pressing of this classic! Very full with nice dynamic range. Santa Maria plant had great QC which also helps!

This is the ultimate pressing to own for 2 reasons. 1. The pressing sounds absolutely fantastic and was mastered by none other than George Piros who really did a great job here!! 2. This is the original USA press which means the collectibility factor... See full review

A criminally underrated and under appreciated Ep filled with classic paisley underground jangle pop tracks. What are you doing?? Buy this
The Velvet Underground - Loaded

Attractive Chang. You know how no two records sound the same. They are like wine. Clearly my press is a hot stamper cause it does sound amazingly great! Also, this club pressing did not use different mastering however the metal parts may have been new... See full review

Sun City Girls - Funeral Mariachi

This is an absolute stunner of eclectic yet accessible music. So intoxicating with tons of replay value. As for the vinyl pressing, it’s well worth the money housed in a wide spine thick cardboard gatefold. The soundstage is full with excellent... See full review

Excellent and criminally overlooked powerpop band from the 70s. Very melodic tight tracks with searing solos, 3 part harmonies and clean vocals were apparently not enough to break this group? How does that happen?!? Pick this up as it’s a fantastic... See full review

This doesn’t even come close to the original as the OG has one of the better soundstages I have heard. The original is all analog vs the digital repress which can’t compare. The repress is ok but pales in comparison. If this is a favorite of yours... See full review

My understanding is there were some additional copies (not many) beyond the 500 numbered that were sold at some shows several were even signed by Michael himself. If you are a fan especially of his prime output of the 60s and early 70s then this is a... See full review

Some historical info regarding the original Stan Ricker pressings printed below by someone in the know:
There are at least 2 cuts he did. You can tell by slight differences in the groove layout on the LPs. One actually sounds a bit better than the... See full review

Listening to this is as thrilling as it is sad. What could have been? You read and hear about what they were doing in 1997 and how big their next full length was going to be but rarely does the hype match the final output. In this case, after hearing... See full review

Agree with vovapink’s review. As an owner of this UK original and several USA pressings, this UK press smokes em all in sound and package! The difference in the packaging alone is worth the price (die cut gatefold).

I had to add pictures as this is such a stunningly beautiful package with the wide spine Gatefold and smaller booklet framed within the gate. Not to forget mentioning how great this press sounds as well. Forget the box set. Get the original pressings

A far superior soundstage on this original UK pressing when compared to the USA, Canadian, German and several modern represses I have come across. Includes a beautiful laminated gatefold sleeve which just adds to the beauty and need to own this press.

Mark linkous of sparklehorse fame’s first band. Does it sound like sparklehorse? Hell no, but it is good with some excellent hooks and his patented guitar style is familiar in some of these tracks. For the money it’s definitely worth picking up
