Don’t confuse a dash with a hyphen (see Hyphens). Dashes are longer than hyphens.
There are two types of dashes: the en dash and the em dash.
The en dash is based on the size of an uppercase N, and the em dash is based on the size of an uppercase M.
So the em dash is longer than the en dash.
- hyphen
– en dash
— em dash
The en dash is a linking device that implies to or and. one to five = 1–5
The em dash is a separating device. It signals a pause slightly longer than a comma, or it interrupts the sentence for a purposeful digression. "I would say this — erm — this is good."

(DE)

z.B.: Die Berechnung lautet: 10–3=7.

Great album, very relaxed! Just the backing vocals by Jimmy Scott on track 3 are awful !

Well said, indeed!
I just went into Swing Out Sister, after loving Sade and Matt Bianco for decades now.
Do you know anything similar from the 1980ies/early 90ies?

What a cornucopia of great tracks by great artists!
I allways loved the label Harvest due to some of my favourite bands, like Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Barclay James Harvest, Electric Light Orchestra and not to forget Quatermass! (yes a typical German ... See full review

My copy of this release has some pressing(?) errors on disc 1; are these on all copies?
These are the errors I found:
track 1-9 distortions starting at 2:06
and the right channel is very low at tracks 1-8 to 1-11

Have Don Robey and Fats Washington, the "writers" of Pledging My Love (1973), ever been sued by John Lennon, Yoko Ono, Apple or anybody else for plagiarizing Happy X-Mas (War Is Over), written by Yoko Ono & John Lennon (1971) ?

Just got this version of the album and noticed a pressing(?) error in track 2 starting at 3:48 lasting till 3:52.
Is this on all copies of this pressing?
(I have the one with Matrix / Runout (Variant 2): 5211942 . 1:1:4 EMI SWINDON)
