Jewel - Spirit

Joni Mitchell Blue, Jewel Spirit, two of the best albums ever made, not best female albums, best albums. If you have a clean vinyl copy of Spirit it is a true listening treasure.

Has become a favorite of the "pandemic era". Such a unique album from these times. A must own.

Great true mono tracks and an all analog stereo O&O. Great bargain.
R.E.M. - Green
posted a comment on R.E.M. - Green. 4 months ago
I've always considered Green as a genre unto itself. Be still for a time and think about it, this is a strange, strange album. It is psychedelic, but not in the way that is normally thought of. It is Americana, but not in the way one would normally... See full review

Best "revamp" of a song ever. Really. Some more words.
Heart

The fact Nancy Wilson is taking a band out on tour and calling it Nancy Wilsons Heart says all that needs to be said at this point. I hope Ann takes off the gloves and gets a killer band together(although her touring solo band isn't bad), maybe... See full review

They use silver label for pressings they can't find the original master tapes. Could be a backup or some other source.
George Michael - Songs From The Last Century

Whomever is in charge of reissuing and keeping George's work relevant should be fired. The fact that that this album and others have not even been released on vinyl, let alone reissued for the couple that were on vinyl, just totally amazing. Each... See full review

When this album is 500 dollars in 20 years, remember when you could grab it for 10 bucks. Genius of an album.
A Flock Of Seagulls - The Story Of A Young Heart

A true gem, one of the greatest "New Wave" albums of all time. Mike Score creates a mature look at love and death in a unique and creative vantage point not many others have looked at the subject from. Wrongly assumed as a lesser album, far from it.... See full review

Amazing the lack of any reissues, they could do a box set of just thius album and sell many, many sets. Gotta be some interesting demo, unreleased and live from this era.
Chris Robinson & The New Earth Mud - This Magnificent Distance
posted a comment on Chris Robinson & The New Earth Mud - This Magnificent Distance. 10 months ago
Complete shame the Mud music isn't on vinyl. I'd be into a New Earth Mud box set with all the albums and the stupid rare Paris live album. Along with rarities. Take my money now!

One of the great underrated albums. Certainly deserves far more credit and recognition than it usually gets. A classic!!
Type O Negative - October Rust

Now, just a reissue of Life Is Killing Me and Dead Again and I'm good. Should have bought the box set when it was first released, but still would need Dead Again.

I'm happy I waited until an official stand alone release was pressed. Not into boots, should have bought the box when it was affordable, but I only need Life Is Killing Me now. Dead Again is under a different banner, so not sure when or if that will... See full review
Poison (3) - Flesh & Blood

I have found the BMG pressing to be the best sound wise. They are all the same mastering, but the pressing itself was just a tad better with the BMG than the others.
Dave Matthews Band - Before These Crowded Streets
posted a comment on Dave Matthews Band - Before These Crowded Streets. 11 months ago
Stunned this hasn't been reissued yet. At this point I am thinking they are going to wait until 2023 and do a 25th Anniversary box set for this one. Which is fine, as long as the wait is worth the contents.
Roy Orbison - Lonely And Blue

Just found a 61 Monument in VG+/VG+ condition at a thrift (99 cents) I never see Roy's original albums in the wild, great find. Made my record collecting week.
Metallica - Ride The Lightning

Still holding out hope they do a colored run of Load, Reload and Garage Inc. After those I'm good with Metallica. I haven't been into an album of Metallica since Garage Inc.

What are you expecting, this was a fully, EARLY digital recording, it will never be an audiophiles dream. Someone like Chris Bellman might be able to wheeze a bit more from the recording, but I can't see much more coming out of this. They were trying... See full review

It would need to be 4LP if you want the bonus stuff to. Otherwise, not truly a 2 LP version of just the original.
Shinedown - The Sound Of Madness

I didn't expect an audiophile pressing of the album on vinyl. It truly is a digital recording. However on a decent system with good speakers, it certainly is better than the CD, never heard the original vinyl so can't compare the two. Since the second... See full review

An early Bernie Grundman work. Even back then his stuff was great.
The Who - Who's Next
posted a comment on The Who - Who's Next. about 1 year ago
Seems everyone tried to press a blue issue of this. Sadly the only blue vinyl pressing that stands up was the 2012 MOV pressing. Which is in my top three pressings of Who's Next ever done so far. It is just a great listen.

I am not a fan of remixes. Saying that, the Giles remix of The White Album truthfully sounds wonderful. I did not ever expect to say that or accept that, but it is the truth. Also having the Demos in great sound quality on vinyl takes things over the... See full review

If all you care about is good sound quality, and don't want to or can't afford a UK original, this is a great alternative. No frills, but mastered and pressed as quality.
Black Sabbath - Mob Rules

I wouldn't hold my breathe for another pressing of this and H+H. The picture disc, yes, but these deluxe editions, I have my doubts.
Puscifer - Money Shot

There are no copies of this in the Puscifer store. They are charging 150 dollars for the remix album. I doubt they would charge 25 for the real album. Fake news.

An amazing record. Mastering, cutting, pressing. Very few records ever will sound this good. I can't imagine a reissue sounding this amazing. There are some labels and mastering engineers who could do a great job, but very few. A real treasure.

The Cure and vinyl. They either don't care or don't understand. All the recent picture disc releases, and the lack of quality remastered albums is puzzling if not confounding.

Grab this and let others pay over 300 dollars for red colored vinyl. Same mastering as the red. People are funny. Personally, I don't like red enough to pay almost 10 times the price. Amazed this hasn't been reissued again or at a minimum repressdd.

Still no official vinyl release. That is ridiculous. This album deserves a great vinyl release.
Blondie - Blondie

I'd agree, they are just variations all pressed at the same basic time frame. Probably talking days, weeks difference if any. All Private Stock pressings are the earliest pressings of this great album.
Green Day - ¡UNO!

Over the course of these three albums there is GREAT Greenday to be had. People didn't get the release of three albums, the media didn't care because it wasn't American Idiot 2. Sadly 3 albums of solid work kind of came and went. The vinyl releases... See full review

Such a strange album, it just gets more important as a great work of art as time goes on. I consider it up with Sgt. Pepper as one of the best albums ever made. Brief Candles is as good as any pop song ever created.

I never cared for so called "reviews" which in fact are just opinions. If you don't like an album, great, doesn't mean it isn't a great album. Minute By Minute is a solid album, that sold gazillion, nothing wrong with that. Not every album has to be... See full review
