Pretending Doesn't Work. I'm a total vinyl junkie. I've recently started collecting Jazz records, mostly released in the 1950s and 60s. I also like garage rock, indie rock, hip–hop and classic rock. There's not much I don't like. Music soothes my soul.

Thank you. I was considering buying this on vinyl but I'm not paying $40 and up on this. I appreciate your post. Killah Priest Heavy Mental is dope IMO.

I ordered an Oh Sees record form Castle Face a few years ago and purposely ordered the black version. Since I ordered it as soon as it went on sale I received a colored version. I guess they just assumed all the early pre-orders want the color version. I ... See full review

I ordered mine from Amazon. I received a black vinyl version. The pressing is actually as close to perfect as you can get. It looks like it may have been pressed at RTI but I guess it's GZ Media. I've never had good luck with their pressings but this one ... See full review

I agree. I just got a copy a few days ago and it's like the vinyl was played 50 times and stored in a dust bowl for 10 years. United is horrible and I don't think they care. I'm glad he's pressing his own vinyl now.

Plus it helps that this was recorded at Sound City so they had a great set of master tapes to work with.

Wow! MEIIODrOnE said it all. Except I'd go as far as giving this a 10/10. It's perfectly quiet. Probably the best rock 'n roll records I've heard in a while. All the detail is there. The bass and the drums do sound fantastic. QRP does a great job ... See full review

Yeah, mine sounds very good too. This one has a sticker on the shrink wrap "Made In Germany". Not sure where it was pressed but I would guess Optimal Media. They make high-quality pressings and this is no exception. I've been waiting a long time for a ... See full review

My copy sounds pristine. Not a single pop or click on the entire record. You can tell this was pressed with a tremendous amount of care. Quality, not quantity!

All the versions I've heard they all have a very low bass mix. This pressing sounds very good IMO. You can't beat the price either.

No issues with my pressing. I pre-ordered my copy a couple of months before it was released. Maybe that's the difference?

Thank you for this comment. I own this too and it sounds fine. It is a wonderful piece of art. I wish more artists put this much attention to detail into their art.

Such a great album. This is the first The Cure vinyl I've bought. It's a shame that it was pressed at Rainbo. I've never had a good pressing from there. But all in all, I can't complain. It's a classic and I have a feeling it will be on heavy rotation ... See full review

Keep them both. The waxy, plain sleeve is better for the vinyl because it keeps the static to a minimum and wont scratch like the paper will.

I think there might have been an issue with the master tape and therefore nothing can be done about it. It's unfortunate but doesn't really bother me at all. I think this version sounds great, especially for the price.

The matrix numbers at the end vary between each stamper. A first pressing would end in -1A/-1A on each side. Then the next stamper would be -1B and so on. So the numbers at the end change with each batch.
