Hey, don't judge a book by its cover! Unless it's this towering pile of dung, in which case please carry on with your prejudices intact. If you ever need a fairly recent* exemplar of dance music's short shelf life, chuck this at them.

Hey mate, I'd love to know what changed. I mean, you say "everything" and I suspect that's really close to the truth because it's a totally transformative record, but I'm sure that some things haven't changed too. I listened to it and my house burned ... See full review

I am a great admirer of Liz Harris canon of work and that includes the more, umm difficult, or at least less coherent, early Grouper records as well as the relative lullaby perfection of Dragging a Dead Deer, etc. That said I have to halfway agree with ... See full review

You feel lucky because you spent 110 euro on two copies of an OK soundtrack of a terrible film, in a poorly presented package, on a vile coloured piece of plastic, that will be repressed shortly?

I hope that you are okay.

Missed out on this as I couldn't be fucked to go and stand in a long queue with people whose collective animal spirit is the fray bentos pie, but it's an almost certainty that this will see a black vinyl pressing shortly, which I'd far prefer anyway.

Hi Diagonal, please can you give us a nice pressing on black vinyl and not in a shitty poly bag that's going to get all ratty and ultimately make our orange record sound even shitter.

The music is great, and I'll always have a massive soft spot for this record, but listening to this again after a while away, I can't ignore how crappy sounding a lot of the production is. You could argue that that's the aesthetic and it's just raw/lofi, ... See full review

Boomkat emperors new clothes hype in full effect. This guy has done like a couple of decent tunes but way more guff, and it’s sold as some kind of peerlessly authentic take on a purist vision of house music, when it’s actually just really really fucking ... See full review

Are tracks 6 and 7 available on vinyl anywhere? These are 2 of my favourite pieces on the album but appear to be only on CD.

Weird, my pressing sounds fine and I hate the artwork. The Die Schachtel house style is a fucking dreadful soulless graphic design nightmare.

Not confirmed, but most if not all tracks on this album were done by William Bennett, sampling African music. For example, you can find the original recording of Rorogwela on Youtube. Still, a fantastic concept.
