And it doesn't end here: of course we need all the formats for different purposes, the CD for instant play, the casette because it's interesting to have such a strange format, the SACD, well, because . . .

At some point I might make a fruit bowl out... See full review

The best way to play this Seventeen Seconds picture disc is to have two turntables:

In the sitting room you have the SS picture disc with its grainy smears of the B&W grass cover image spinning its spin on your lovely turntable, it's not hooked up to... See full review

The "caveats aside" are that the packaging is not functional - so you can't really put them aside.

I guess this 'ultra-collection' is aimed at the uber wealthy with their inifinity pool and poured concrete and glass bauhaus. Those who want it all in a neat, minimalist box, and can then throw away their entire vinyl collection. It's so neatly... See full review

If you walked into a room and WP were playing loud, you'd be forgiven if you didn't like it at first. Wolfgang Press is one of the bands which gave 4AD its real charm of supporting expressive, idiosyncratic music when 4AD was at its treasure chest... See full review

Bizarro!

I was late on purchasing this satanic majesty of an album, but am glad I finally got it. The gatefold sleeve itself is a corking surprise. When I first saw it, I thought, what the heck! Why is the spine so wide and rounded - has it been... See full review

milky-way: better play those CDs loads before they all start bubbling up. This is an expensive item and is bought as a definitive, archival piece. As you yourself are saying, you are carefully storing yours. This mishap happened to the wrong product,... See full review

Never heard of such a thing, to 'house a CD in a 12" record sleeve'. What's the novelty there - why not go the whole hog and produce a 12" CD?

I wish Jennie Abrahamson would release a hard copy (CD or vinyl) of Bowie's This Is Not America. She does a great, minimal, live performance of it with a glockenspiel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XtW1h_k7cZg

For me Let's Dance is Bowie's most consistently fun album; it's cool, suave and effortlessly seductive. China Girl, Criminal World . . . every track is a gem.

To grace it with a limited run of only 1,500, with such stunning sound production on clear,... See full review

Redlegs - I do that too, but there will be no room for it all in the PVC sleeve which has the foiled eyes on it, as it is too tight . . .

There was a nice show of ambition for this edition. But don't let your hopes get too high, They failed on one of the basic production issues - the sleeves are too tight. The PVC sleeve with holographic eyes is too tight, I had to struggle to... See full review

I'm sure working in a charity shop you would come across a lot of good pieces - first dibs!
