Seems weird that their first album got a reissue but this one is still just a CD.

Looks like the boys quietly re-released it in this box set which I had no idea even existed until yesterday .

All of side one is mono (and true mono at that) except for Summertime Blues and I Can See For Miles which is not just stereo but the original single mix with the fully audible bass.

There are stereo mixes of most of this record out there. The version in the Phases box set has true stereo mixes of nearly everything except for "See My Way" which as far as I can tell, was never mixed in stereo. "So Sad About Us" is also in mono on... See full review

Weird edit of 'Life Begins At The Hop' removing a portion of a verse and the instrumental break before a verse, I assume to be able to squeeze everything on to two sides.

I have both of the Hendrix reissues and they both sound decent. The Axis has a funny side one mix that sounds like they rushed through a rough mix to make a master. In terms of quality these records are a lot nicer and more consistent than the... See full review

Side one has little differences i.e there's no stereo panning of the vocals in Up From The Skies. It sounds like they did a quickie mix and made a master for some reason and this is the one that wound up here on the Track reissue.

This is how I first bought this record. I'm guessing the different track order was to make it so side one ran out fully on the cassette and you could immediately flip it to go to side two without having to fast forward. I actually think this song... See full review

A fantastic record. Had Columbia released it at the time things would have been very different in 1965. Dion was recording with Tom Wilson when he first put electric instruments on Dylan and Simon & Garfunkel tracks and this lost record reflects the... See full review

Mono mix of "Baby Driver" has a different vocal mix and the end does not speed up and modulate a whole step but fades out in the original key.

The Backtrack Series is full of labeling errors and this record is no different.
Right on the back it says MONO and while Red House, Can You See Me, 3rd Stone From The Sun and Remember are all mono, the rest is a hodgepodge of stereo mixes that... See full review

This has a two-tone Pye label which places it somewhere between 1979-1980 right before Pye became PRT.

Here's a link to a great 45 site that has a ton of information

I believe this entry is a Monarch press, as mine is and matches the labels.

Matrix / Runout (side one [etched]): EKL-4001-A (-3) 1-4 MR 3-66 Δ8993
Matrix / Runout (side two [etched]): EKL-4001-B (-3) MR 1-4 3-66 Δ8993-X

Real stereo mix which seems completely unlikely. But listen as things pan from one side to the other--probably unintentionally--but it's the real deal. Once again the folks at Rhino go the distance.

Sounds great of course but the packaging is poor. The sleeve is not really large enough to fit two thick records + pictures + lyric sheet. Even with just the two records the sleeve warps slightly.

The notes claim that they're using the mono mix of "This Will Be Our Year" but it really sounds like they found a stereo mix without horns as it's most definitely not mono and doesn't smack of fake stereo.
