Terrence Parker - Tribute

This special release is dedicated to Detroit DJ legend Ken Collier. His untimely passing deeply touched me personally, as he was one of a small few who always supported me and my music.

Because Of Ken Collier, Detroit developed a dance scene, which... See full review
Solid Gold Easy Amex Featuring Red Box - Enjoy

Without any shadow of doubt the "future" mix by Paul Oakenfold is the best thing he's ever done. For me this is the greatest Balearic tune of all time. Anybody who has an interest in this genre could do worse than trying to track down a copy.
DJ Sneak - You Can't Hide From Your Bud

Apparently when Sneak was making this track he couldn't get the sample to loop properly. In frustration he reached for his bag of grass and had a smoke, after which he completed his loop without an further problems.

Hence the title, "You Can't... See full review

Head straight for the DJ edit. Used by Tony Humphries on the first Ministry of Sound compilation (when they used to release underground material).

This record is worth owning for the sleeve artwork alone. The front cover features the Shoom loveheart logo which is become synonomous with this seminal acid house club.
Xpansions - Elevation

This is the original release of the track that became better known when the title was changed to "Move Your Body".

A massive club/rave anthem in the UK that had a top 40 placing on two sepeate occasions.

Various - Made On Earth

This album is worth the price for the Thomas Schumacher track - Lust, alone.

The bassline from Michael Jackson's "Beat It", sits behind a Malcolm X style "Black Power" monologue. That, coupled with the synths that seem to soar over the track like... See full review

The Schatrax track - Mispent Years has been around for about 5 or 6 years. I picked it up on a white label EP with Schatax stamped on it in pink ink, but never new the title until i heard it on the Soma promo.

It's got a really deep bassline, and... See full review

"This is the sound of Hardcore Uproar, more powerful than you could ever imagine". And they weren't wrong.

From the spine tingling intro with the sampled crowd noises to the Italo house inspired piano, this tune has it all. For me this is thee Rave... See full review

Can't believe I wrote that nonsense in my other comments about this track. That's what happens when you log on to Discogs after a night out.

The remix is of course by Svek, and I'm warming to Funk D'Void's mix, although it still falls short of the... See full review

A good cross section of tracks from the US and Europe pretty much sums up the eclectic policy of Pure residents Twitch and Brainstorm. The emphasis was always on quality underground music.

What a track. My hope is that in the future they'll be encouraging our kids to listen to this in the schools. What a motivation.

There are so many words that could be used to describe this track, however none would give it justice. You have to hear... See full review

Sweeping synths and dark probing breaks. Still Kemal finds space for heart felt stabs straight from the soul.

This production captures a little of the dark side of life in Glasgow's less salubrious conurbations.

The A side is a driving techno floorshaker that builds and breaks in all the right places.
The flip has a quirky looping groove heavily influenced by the sounds of Detroit .
