I love the stories of Pailhead playing live with an Ian Mackaye "fake Shemp"...

This album was issued on CD as the last 12 tracks of Spellbound! 1955-1974.

When the same year is shown for two releases, they are sorted alphabetically. It's that way throughout the database.

Still can't find it in stores so I reluctantly ordered from Amazon.

This pressing plant is a good reason to opt for the CD version of your favorite new release.

Calculated guess: Most of Steven's technical/engineer credits should be moved to Steve McDonald (2).

Supposedly released 6 weeks ago but I can't find it in stores around Portland Oregon in any format. None of them have even heard of it. Terrible distribution for an established label like Wax Trax.

LOL. Yes, better to idolize the man Lydon described as a 'coat hanger' who couldn't even play well enough to be on the album.

Phenomenal comp with a vast collection of rare singles on the first CD. The second disk comprises the albums ...What That Is! and Because Is In Your Mind. It's on Bear Family so naturally the quality is excellent.

I swear I remember these guys playing at Berkshire Elementary School circa '74. David was a classmate of mine. Dundalk forever!

Weird mastering issues on this. Watch the VU meter on Track 8 "SolarDip" from 2:50 to 3:20 where there are strange increases in volume to the point of clipping.

I love how these are all labeled 'Electronic' and 'Synth-Pop'. Exactly what is electronic or synth-pop on this album?

Seven versions and not one person bothers to enter the runout strings? Jeez.

This was my submission and IMO the labels are light green, not yellow. See images. I bought it secondhand circa 1981.

If there was a label with consistently uglier sleeves than Mystic, I'd like to know what it is.

Recorded at the Elks Lodge, not the Masque. It was a benefit *for* the Masque. See images here-->Various - Live From The Masque 1978, Volume One

No list of complaints yet? These guys must be doing something right.
