Weird mastering issues on this. Watch the VU meter on Track 8 "SolarDip" from 2:50 to 3:20 where there are strange increases in volume to the point of clipping.

Just add it to the release. Thank you. . .
posted a review of Minutemen - Double Nickels On The Dime. 3 months ago
Didn't get my hands on this oddity until a few years ago. At first I wasn't thrilled with the remix (Minutemen on reverb?!?) but it makes for an interesting side trip after you've heard the album several hundred times. Kinda like taking an unknown route ... See full review

Please add images to the release if possible. Thank you!

I love how these are all labeled 'Electronic' and 'Synth-Pop'. Exactly what is electronic or synth-pop on this album?
posted a comment on Decry - Keystone Criminal. 4 months ago
Seven versions and not one person bothers to enter the runout strings? Jeez.

This was my submission and IMO the labels are light green, not yellow. See images. I bought it secondhand circa 1981.
posted a comment on Mystic Records (8). 5 months ago
If there was a label with consistently uglier sleeves than Mystic, I'd like to know what it is.

If I had to evacuate my house and could only carry 10 albums, this would be among them.

Recorded at the Elks Lodge, not the Masque. It was a benefit *for* the Masque. See images here-->Various - Live From The Masque 1978, Volume One

No list of complaints yet? These guys must be doing something right.
posted a review of The Chameleons - Live At The Gallery Club. 8 months ago
Except for a little fun with the zoom lens, the show is refreshingly free of bullshit video effects. It's almost like attending a 1982 Chameleons rehearsal. A great video.

Ah yes, the great songwriting duos of rock history... Leiber and Stoller, Lennon and McCartney, Jagger and Richards, Strummer and Rhodes...

Every time I put this on the turntable I'm knocked back by the beauty of this pressing. Nice work, Marc On Wax, Bilbo and Damont (wherever in the Universe you happen to be these days).

I'm usually the first to complain about brickwall mastering but even I don't think 7 is bad.

Absolutely abysmal brickwall mastering. It's like biting into a donut and realizing your dog pissed on it.
