LY = Shelley Products, Huntington Station, NY W.B. about 1 hour ago
In this case, the LY suffix on "Lost Without Your Love" does indeed indicate a Shelley pressing. Their "S" was indeed backwards - but differed significantly from Specialty's pre-1972 stamped deadwax logo (after 1972, Specialty's 'SRC' logo [with the 'R' inside the top part of the S, and 'C' inside the bottom part] was shown regular) in that the 'S' was of a smaller size and usually inside a circle. More important, Shelley pressings were styrene with 3.5" diameter center labels, whereas Specialty pressings were vinyl with 3.625" diameter center labels. Moreover, Shelley had stamper numbers written backwards in the deadwax which bore no relation to the matrix number supplied by the mastering source. As for the red label Bread - Lost Without Your Love, that was indeed Specialty - this was around the time they were alternating between the red label and the butterfly label.

It should also be noted, while we're on the subject of Shelley Products, that LP releases on London and its various sublabels (Parrot, Deram, etc.) as pressed by that plant, bore an 'SH' suffix after the matrix number as on the center label.
