Goth during my teens. Bit of a Factory records fan during that time. Enjoyed almost anything that nobody else did. Virgin Prunes, Sisters of Mercy, Stockholm Monsters, Cabaret Voltaire etc.
School first love left me in '88. Turned into raver overnight.

All I can tell you all is that "Life" is a track that sounds as though it was made in 1987 or thereabouts. I'm not clever enough to describe what an amazing sounding tune this is. But I'm pretty sure it is a class piece of Detroit techno from a couple of ... See full review

I went to see him live at the 100 club in London in '96-'97. Still have the ticket.
I remember "Can't Stay With You Baby" but I don't know much else of his portfolio.
There you go; second comment about Jimi on Discogs. Only took nine years.

Very much looks like a "Love it of hate it" album judging by the reviews here.
I don't think every tune is "Superb" but on the other hand I don't think I'd find myself vomiting to any of them either.
Still a lot better than anything mainstream from the ... See full review

Can't say I'd agree with the previous comment. If the mixing may not be first rate (again, not that I'd noticed) but the tracks are awesome. I've always loved this disc and bought volume two as a result which is also very good. Listen to it for the tunes ... See full review

I have "This is... Deep House" (BEBOXCD50), a three disc comp and mix which is not listed here or on Discogs at all from what I can see. I don't know if I can be arsed to enter the new submission. I doubt anybody will notice if I don't. However, all the ... See full review

It's the mix of this album which makes it so good IMO. Have played this many times over the years and it's the album I use to demonstrate to the youngsters what they missed out on back in the day.

I think there is also a little sample taken from the "Alien" movie of 1979. It's only repeated a few times in the whole tune. Quite a few times actually now I've listened to it again.
Well, I know it is coz I've watched that movie a zillion times and ... See full review
