My copy has horrible surface noise. Very shoddy release. It's a shame since the music itself is excellent if you can get over the constant surface noise throughout.

That is unfortunate. I must've been lucky as my copy sounds great.

Keiichi Suzuki, Hirokazu Tanaka, Hiroshi Kanazu - Mother 2 (ギーグの逆襲) as reviewed by musicfortundra

This pressing is very quiet and the colors look really nice. My only gripe is the tracks that didn't make the cut and the run times on some of the tracks that did. Where is the battle music? Some of the best songs in Earthbound are during the battles with the "New Age Retro Hippie" and nearly all the UFOs or robots. Lastly I wish some of tracks like the Fourside theme and Summers were extended a bit. 1 minute just isn't long enough for such great themes.

I'm really happy to have this on vinyl and do not regret the purchase at all. I just find the final product to be lacking in the area most important: the music.

Constance is an underrated, nearly all instrumental shoegaze album on Quaaludes.

Lichens / Lexie Mountain - Restoration Of Temperment / If You So Choose as reviewed by musicfortundra

February 27, 2013
If you have any familiarity of Lichens (Rob Lowe), you're in the for the usual sonic treatments on "Restoration of Temperament". Wordless vocals combined with sparse guitar loops create a drone that is not easily ignored, but not always captivating. Lichens are exploring the same aural territory here, already traversed on his earlier records.

Lexie Mountain's (Alexandra Macchi) track "If You So Choose" uses language as its main source of sound. Fragments of conversations and words spill out and mix together to create a mass of sound. It is the least melodic track of this split, but it's also the most playful and manages to keep me listening throughout its duration.

This split is a welcome addition to any fan of noise/drone music.
