Can anyone comment on the pressing quality of this release?

Great soundtrack to a solid Tarantino flick. However, the CD is heavily compressed. Good on headphones, almost unlistenable on a good stereo. At 9.99 for the BluRay/Soundtrack combo, however, I won't complain. Plus, the music is really excellent - ... See full review

Wanda, oh Wanda... you were one of the best bands to come out of Austria back then. Fall 2015 was a magical time for me and now I look back to it with a sense of melancholy and bittersweet feelings. This LP was the soundtrack for this short period of ... See full review

Fantastic album by the 4 Tops, containing many smash hits and presented in a wonderful mono presentation that comes with much power and is very crankable! Great listen for all you Motown fans.

Absolutely fantastic pressing - silent, clear as a crystal and gorgeous music! A must for every collection, the nice gatefold sleeve and enclosed booklet with lots of info about the individual songs truly stand out here.

Grace fans need to have this album. It's clearly one of her absolute highlights, musically and production-wise. A shame Island doesn't seem too interested in releasing a nice deluxe package of this amazing album, making it neccessary to wade through ... See full review

Glorious album presented in a glorious soundscape. Deep bass, fantastic stereo reproduction and crystal clear lyrics, topped off by sharp synths and drums. An amazing listen to one of the most important albums of the 80s. This first edition truly ... See full review

Great historical relict - of course, in the age of YouTube and the availabikity of those videos on DVD as well (I think) it's basically useless to hunt this down but I got it free with my Laserdisc player and I really like watching it every now and then.

This is a fabulous effort by Falco and one that is undeservedly underrated by many. Songs like the opening 'Wiener Blut' and 'Satellite to Satellite', the two main singles released from the album, show Falco at his best, combining viennese slang with ... See full review

I had long looked for this album on vinyl and this year I finally could get hold of a copy.

Counting the first two albums with Eric Burdon, this is War's fifth overall effort and it's clearly their most acclaimed, even securing a spot on Rolling Stone's ... See full review

First of all, the quality of this recording is excellent - powerful singers, passionate conduction and an overall very sinister tone round out a wonderful performance. However, the quality of the pressing is rather mediocre - heavy surface noise (even on ... See full review

Well, looks like I had some luck with this edition as well - no vinyl particles, no grain, no white marks whatsoever. Only a little dust from the inner sleeve (which sadly is not antistatic), but I could clean that easily. The sound is powerful to me, ... See full review

You're so right! Finally listened to this LP today, halfway through "Deep Blue Day" I checked if my cartridge was okay because the noises were really ugly. It's a shame that this happens frequently, just like with the "Disintegration" reissue from 2010.

The sonics on this disc are amazing - though I'm sure that this is the case with every release of this album. The music, on the other hand, is not my cup of tea - I like musical minimalism, but it doesn't fit Prince (or Prince doesn't fit it, who knows?) ... See full review

Excellent sounding early CD Version of this album (I even think this is a pre-emphasized edition, at least according to the DR database). Much clearer and more defined than the remaster, so try to find this disc if you want this album on CD!

This is a nice CD Edition, though the brickwall shines through during the loud parts (especially the end of Disc 1 can hurt a bit with headphones!), sadly no jewel case, but a double slipcase instead where light scratches are next to impossible to avoid.
