If shot in 4:3, then the DVD release should be 4:3. Embrace the black bars.

Is there any difference between this Burn Clear and the version released in 1988?

Looks like it was back in 2004 Australian pressing - https://www.discogs.com/Christy-Moore-Whatever-Tickles-Your-Fancy-Christy-Moore/release/8289993

The Now That's What I Call Music 7 CD was released today. I have done a comparison with it and my original LP. Here are the differences - some more obvious than others. If you notice anything else, please feel free to add.

It's the 4:37 original full length 7" that turned up on Please: Further Listening. Not the Matrix Mix / Alternative 7" but a surprise nonetheless.

Say The Word (Extended Instrumental Remix) skips around 5:12 or so - fault with the master tape.

Contains two tracks missing from the CD version of Now 7 - Absolute Beginners and On My Own.

Notable for including the 7" mix of How Soon Is Now? Something which The Smiths' Singles album (released two months beforehand) couldn't get right.

The CD was released in November 1986 - 12 months after the original vinyl and cassette. It is missing the first two tracks from the LP's second side - John & Yoko / The Plastic Ono Band - Happy Xmas (War Is Over), Greg Lake - I Believe In Father...

Frequently confused with Modest Mouse and Mouse On Mars. Really.

Worth buying for the single edits alone, great to have them on CD

Agreed! The B-Sides are fantastic too - more than an album's worth across the four singles

Don't Change (CD2, track 1) pops a bit at 1:47. Anyone else? The version on the American Dream CD is fine. Also Cancer (Claustrophia Mix) has a similar effect in the last minute. CD2 doesn't sound like it's mastered very well at all. Levels also a bit off.

The single version of Love Don't Work This Way is much better than what ended up on the album.

Was Mothers Eyes re-recorded for the album the following year?

Great set but a pity they ditched the clamshell box for the cheap-looking capacity wallet. Sadly seems to be the norm for most / all Cherry Red 3CD releases now.

Agree - I do like the track selections on CD2 reissue but it's way TOO LOUD. The original CD sounded perfect turned up.

Page not found - is there any info on this elsewhere? I stopped buying FK around 2012 purely because I lost interest.

Do you not own a CD player? I bought all the 12" singles as they came out so it was great to get them all compiled on one place on CD. Although they could have included the single version of Gigantic as a hidden track.

Seems to have gone OOP in a matter of weeks. Despite the cheap packaging.

My copy was ordered directly from the artist and is two CDRs not CDs. Artist has confirmed that there is only one edition. This should have been flagged upfront as two CDRs with a single card inlay is actually worse than a download.

Tracklist for the fourth LP looks incorrect - there's no way that 18 tracks are crammed onto one LP. At a guess, I'd say it has 14.

I am not talking about people who weren't around in the 1990s. I am referring to over zealous individuals who abandoned vinyl (or rarely bought it) back then and who now wants EVERYTHING released on vinyl (no regard for practicalities or cost) and...

I ended up with both the vinyl and the CD sets. The latter is far superior in terms of content; in terms of the LP sound quality, it's good to have Modern Life Is Rubbish and Parklife on double LP.

Missing It's Only Love anyway. The worst one to get wrong would be Lavender.

Released 1987. Black - Sweetest Smile is the longer album version as the 7" mix is not on Spotify while Heatbeat UK - Jump To It is omitted due to unavailability.
