This is an incredibly fine record that absolutely disappeared upon release and it is a tragedy that it went down that way. Shoot out features stellar songs in the "alt country" vein by an incredibly tight and road tested band. If you can find this gem, I ... See full review

Nirvana was never about high fidelity. I've got nothing against releasing this on 2 LPs at 45 RPM for those that want that sort of thing but I don't see the point. Give us a $18-$20 single black LP already. This is just unnecessary and silly in my ... See full review

Yup... I bought it brand new in 98 for $6. It had been sitting there for years and no one was the least bit interested. I sold mine for a lot more than that because I could and because there was a reissue that would likely sound far superior to the ... See full review

It's not the "flippers" fault that people are willing to pay for the original LP. In 1995, vinyl wasn't a priority and CD was the preferred format. Those original copies are rare. I share your excitement about the reissue but find your comment pretty ... See full review

Music tastes are all a matter of opinion and you are entitled to yours. As for me... I'll take the Stooges over Social Distortion every single time. That being said, what is the point of this "review" here? You are not talking about a specific pressing, ... See full review

Given all the cool bootleg (or unofficial :)) releases being put out, it would be great if those adding them to the database were to comment on the sound quality. Just a thought.

This is a review of a specific reissue and will not discuss the music much. A lot has already been written about this record and I'm not sure I can add much to that discussion. It's great and you should own a copy.

Mine also has the vertical barcode....other than that, it is identical to this listed release. I'm not sure that would warrant it's own Version or not.

Agreed. Great sounding LP... I only wish that they had some additional credits/notes or something to make it a bit more special. It's pretty bare bones as far as packaging goes.

Is this a mono edition? All the others with the MS 2171 matrix number have Stereo on the labels.

There is not a mono version of this LP.

It is a good thing to be weary of releases on the DOL label as they are known to use varied digital sources and exploit copyright law. That being said, this is not a terrible sounding release. I was given this LP as a gift and am pleasantly surprised at ... See full review

Great album from a great band. This OJC pressing sounds absolutely fantastic and especially so for the lo price point. No surface noise or problems whatsoever. The sleeve is also a nice reproduction.

Kadavar's third release finds the band straying from their occult/stoner metal vibe and towards a more streamlined heavy rock sound. They pull it off well. The songs are solid and catchy but it lacks the rockin' magic of their first two studio albums.
