If you put more that 20 minutes on one side of vinyl you lose quality quite drastically. That's why most older albums from before the CD era were usually around 40 minutes.

Probably one of the best records of this genre IMO. Hard as F*** and with the right amount of cheese just done right. Perfect hardcore techno/gabber house

Some of the best tracks from the time on this compilation. A time just before the Happy Hardcore sound started to get a little too cartoonish and juvenile IMO. Absolute classics really and well worth getting.

I found your review here very amusing. Particularly "I would be surprised if 2001 will go down in the history books as the year in which The Strokes by vomiting" and "five very young customers". God bless.

I agree, these are great happy-sounding tracks from the tailend of the breakbeat hardcore scene. I do think the title of this compilation is partly responsible for the actual label 'Happy Hardcore' becoming popular, a label that, a year or two later, ... See full review

Who decided that this release was a bootleg? It isn't, as far as I can see. Dominatrix Recordings is a subsidiary of Obsession and they are both legitimate labels releasing official mixes. I'm pretty sure Easygroove worked closely with Obsession for ... See full review

The stand out track for me is Granary 12. This plodding chugging squelching acid track with those incidental instructions just works perfectly. It's the musical equivalent of when you pull the plug in the bath and all the suds, grit and grime swirl away ... See full review
