It was thought to be a lie. An 'After the Astronaut' promo CD. And yet here it is...with a photographic proof, no less. A couple of cassette variants exist, but the CD is a rare bird indeed.

Much the same thing with the various Cream Corn Pre-Release presses...the colors vary quite a bit b\c they didin't clean the plates between changing the colors...

there were about 1000 of the clear vinyl pressed in total...

It was never issued later as an unnumbered edition. Any CDs without numbers are bootlegs and not official. The CD was only released in the US.

this is actually official. UK versions came out a bit later, and were all unnumbered. The artwork was reversed, and the labels were changed to color pictures. According to King, the UK editions had a better mastering job, and therefore sound better to ... See full review

Original copies were sold via the band's webpage and included a 'bundle' with a t-shirt and a sticker. All fo the bundles were the yellow vinyl edition. According to management, these were limited to approximately 100 copies.

This is AKA the "Tour" cover...the band obviously needed vinyl to sell on the road while the cover issues were being dealt with, according to folklore, and pressed up a bunch with this cover as a stop-gap measure to sell while on the road...

the US 12" version has "Helicopter" as the A-Side...all other versions of the 10" and CDs make it the B-Side...

Domestic versions have "the Colored FBI Guy", import versions have "1401"...the same song, just different title...
