I think the distortion you hear is in the recording - rather than the pressing. It's evident on the CD and MP3 versions of this album too.

My copy sounds incredible. Not having any of the experience that others seem to be having. Bill Evans' piano in particular souinds unreal. And somehow feels heavier than 180g vinyl. It is solid and weighty, and as such sounds just superb.

Terrific pressing. The close-mic on Thigpen's cymbals really rings true. All instruments sound superb. Does have some distortion on Hymn to Freedom when Oscar is getting all wild on the ivories, but I've yet to hear a recording of this release that ... See full review

My copy of this LP sounds incredible. However, the spindle hole is too narrow and has to be forced onto the platter. Most annoying! Doesn't take away from the sound though, which is superb.

Woah! Taking it a bit too serious? Someone needs to calm down...

Why is it annoying? It wasn't on the original release either. And it's an awful track!

Haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. Don't move into our new house until the end of July and don't anticipate that my turntable will be first on the list of things to do in the new house!

As far as I know, Harvest Moon was recorded, mixed and mastered digitally at CD resolution (16bit/44khz). Some people just prefer the listening experience of putting on a record - regardless the source. How does that make them a dope?

Don't shoot the messenger. Just passing on what I was told. I did state that it may not be accurate. I'd also already added that it was available in Germany and the US as per the post on Travis' official Facebook on 21st June.

Spoke to the sales assistant in HMV this morning when purchasing this. He stated that something like 150 copies of this were pressed, which would make it extremely limited! Not sure if this is accurate. Will ask Fran or one of the other guys in the band ... See full review

Terrific pressing! You can hear a lot more detail which seems to be lost on CD remasters (including a very distinct prison bell in the background of '25 Minutes To Go'). The energy of the performance really comes out in this pressing - every instrument ... See full review

I really enjoy this pressing. My copy doesn't have a lot of surface noise as others have identified. Bass is excellent. It's very well balanced, and the sound is nice and warm.

Great pressing. Sounds amazing! Very crisp, not too much bass and clarity is excellent.

Absolutely terrific pressing. This is one of my favourite albums of all-time, and I'm hearing lots of elements of it for the first time! Clarity is excellent. My copy was slightly warped, but luckily my turntable is able to iron out the playback, so no ... See full review

The band seem to have reissued this LP for sale at concerts, without the bonus 12" record or any stickers appearing on the cover - but using the same barcode. Noticed them at the Glasgow show recently, and the barcode is the same (I scanned it on the app ... See full review

I own this pressing (based on Matrix/Runout) details. However, the sleeve that came with it lists tracks A4 and A5 (as listed above) the wrong way round. The labels on the discs are also the wrong way round, listing A5 as the 4th track and vice versa. ... See full review

Amazon was the link to pre-order from the official Damien Rice website, and dated for 1st June 2018 - but it seems that they have not received enough stock, as many have been left without copies - myself included!

Interesting. Did you ever receive it, or are you still waiting?

I don't think so. It's not on any RSD list I've seen, and I doubt they'd spend this long to only do a limited run...

I have my Mum's copy (probably bought in Belfast around the time of release, where we're from - interestingly, at least to me, it has her maiden name written on it) and mine has YEX-773-3U so I was curious about that too. Interesting to know it might be ... See full review
