Great bass, and quiet pressing, in general, but I here confirm flaws on Side C and Side F; otherwise, magnificent quality of sleeves and sound.

Great pressing! Like FKA Twigs' EP2, this one also runs at 45rpm, and sounds superb.

Any comments on this pressing, please? This is not the RSD edition, is it? Thanks.

Very decent pressing. Super quiet and good-sounding vinyl. I dont own the OG edition so I can't compare it, but this sounds pleasant. Booklet is nice as well.

Any comments on this pressing? Did this edition get that wrong panning too?
|

Does this version come with the 16-page booklet too? Thank you!

Any thoughts on the pressing, please? Wondering if this edition is worth buying as I can't find an OG pressing where I live.

Adorable analogue music. The whole idea is just fantastic. I’d never heard of Mort Garson’s Mother Earth Plantasia before, I must confess, but I’m happy I’ve just come across this beautiful record with such a fascinating concept behind, and so...

Any thoughts on the pressing? I’ve got the Secretly Canadian one is arguably NOT the best or most silent records I’ve ever listened to...

A contemporary classic. Dynamics on this pressing are nice. Vinyl does have quite a lot of surface noise but pretty bearable. If you’re looking for a good pressing, this is decent enough but definitely not the best. It does come with the great printed...

Arguably, the weirdest album cover within my whole vinyl collection yet it doesn’t really look bad once it’s in your hands, and, most importantly, it sounds fantastic! I like to see this as a test pressing or so. The centre labels also look nicer than...

Any comments on the sound quality? Thanks you in advance.

Absolutely agree but I’ve never owned the original to compare. Has this been remastered or?
|

As long as it still sounds good, it’s fine then. Fair enough, I’ve seen vinyl records which run at different rpm on each side!

Thanks a lot. I only my own the CD EP version, so I’d like to know.

Sound is pretty good, to be honest. Pity my copy is so warped that it’s unplayable.
|

The sound is pretty impressive. Having said that, I must say that the pressing (at least the new/sealed copy I bought) has some clicks, which may be quite unnoticed when there is a lot of instrumentation, but it really is a bit annoying in calmer...

Wondering how this pressing sounds. Could anybody comment on the sound quality, please?

Stunning album: depressive and mesmerizing. Reminds me of Tropic Of Cancer. The pressing does have some surface noise, though. Other than that, I love the black and white artwork: it matches the music well.

Love both the music and artwork: coldwave/darkwave tunes with some perhaps punk/no wave vibes in places. As for the vinyl itself, I must say the pressing is clean: no annoying pops or surface noise whatsoever.

The best DCD album, in my humble opinion: dark and powerful. This reissue is very decent and plays quietly with some minor clicks, especially on Cantara (track 2 side B) and a little surface noise on side B but nothing too serious and when played...

Mine has some minor but still audible clicks especially on Cantara (track 2 side B), but in general, my copy plays quietly and is powerful and clear too.

I will have to agree with you. Sadly, my copy has the same issues: clicks and pops, and this quite annoying noise you mention in your review. I will keep anyway since it was a present but I am a bit let down with this reissue to say the least. Of...

Thank you for pointing this out; I cannot see the signature you mention, though. Can you confirm this, please?

I must say that I agree with most reviewers here: noisy copy. I wouldn’t say that this is a poor pressing but there is, indeed, too much annoying noise: clicks and pops in most of the tracks. Disappointed, of course, bearing in mind that the sticker...

Great songs: indietronics with political lyrics (in Spanish). Very nice programming and lovely vocals: Mónica Vacas (Mus) and Eva (Linda Guilala) accompany very suitably. I love the mini album cover and the format as well (10”). Sadly, at least my own...

Interesting. So, did you come to any conclusions? What’s your view on this mono version? Would you recommend it?
|

Couldn’t agree more! TMC’s Song To The Siren is such a beautiful version - perhaps my favourite song ever. However, like you, I wish the B-side had been another tune - even an instrumental version would have been more suitable.

Thank you. Have you compared the CD sound quality with the vinyl pressing or any other source? Maybe the master tapes’ quality isn’t the best either?
|

I’m afraid this copy is not as good as the others (from what one may read in the previous reviews): the sound is pretty good but it has this annoying repetitive surface noise as if the stylus were dirty (but it is not). Disappointed because the rest...

Does anyone know if this 12” rum at 45rpm or 33rpm? Thanks for taking your time to reply.
|

I’m curious too. Had no idea Spectrum albums had been reissued. Would like to read comments on both the pressing and the artwork.
|

Why did he do that?! Does this reissue/remastered version really sound bad?
|
![]() |
I hope so too. I have no complaints whatsoever. Good luck!

I only wish a few more copies of the black vinyl would come back in stock at Boomkat. I missed out on this beauty.

Any idea if they will be reissuing this box set or the CDs separately one day? It's a shame how such beautiful music and items are not available any more unless one pays the whim of a third party who has nothing to do with it.

Same here. Mine is exactly the one you describe. I was wondering if there had possibly been a different pressing but there seems to be only this one.
|

I am wondering if this one is this mono or stereo...

Great quality cassette. The sound here is just superb. Arguably, one of the best (if not the best) sounding cassettes I own. Artwork printed on heavy cardboard too.
|

Thanks a lot for commenting on this! I guess I'll get a copy then.

Could anybody confirm if this reissue comes with the Energie-Peak ijs' (detail) by Jan Van Munster, 1981 printed on the inner sleeve, please? Thanks in advance.
|

Thanks for your comment. It all seems perfect. I wish they had included Sunday Morning and After Hours.
|
![]() |
The obvious question is: how does this sound? Anybody got this reissue so as to comment, please? Thanks.
|

Just got a copy of this. Sounds very quiet and loud enough. It comes with the original artwork too. Good job on this one!
|

We see eye to eye here. An Extended Play would have been a better choice, IMHO. Some tracks just feel like empty fillers. I am afraid any other MBV EP or LP beats this one by far - even Kevin Shields songs for the Lost In Translation SDTK sound a lot...

In case anyone's wondering, this 12" sounds really good. This EP runs at 33rpm but the sound is clear and powerful too. Needless to say, the four songs are awesome.
